Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa

I recently visited this Hand & Stone location for a massage. I typically go to the location out in Orland because the parking is free, but the Loop location is more convenient since it is closer to my home. The garage next door is $13 with parking validation. The lobby is invited and relaxing. The young lady working the reception desk was super friendly and her voice was soothing. She reviewed my intake forms with me, and I had a short wait before being taken to the back. The music in the room was the right volume. The temperature was a little chilly, but nothing unbearable, especially since the table was warmed. My masseuse was Laproca, and she did a great job. She used a tool to help relieve the knots in my shoulders and neck. I asked for firm pressure and she provided that. After my massage, I enjoyed some coconut-infused water. They sell these drops that you can put into your water to provide the fruit infusion, and I honestly should have purchased some. They had really good flavor. The reception asked me if I was interested in a membership after booking another appointment. I politely said no, and she repeatedly asked me to reconsider and sharing reasons why. I wished she'd realized that no means no the 1st time around. That was the only drawback. Other than that, I received a great service.

Lapaca is the BEST. The level of pain I go into an appt with vs when I leave is night and day. I finally can get some decent sleep thanks to her, I can’t thank her enough. I wish I knew the name of the woman working the front desk tonight too (3/4/24) but they’re so great. There was a mix up with my scheduling and I was charged a fee and she really took care to assure me they’d take care of me and get everything resolved. Now THAT is how you do customer service!!! I dealt w someone less than kind at the call center so I was feeling a bit disappointed going into my appointment today, but left assured I’ll continue my membership not only bc of how outstanding Lapaca...read full review

The best massage I have ever had in my life (and I go monthly for the last 4 years! Just amazing knowledge and real care for each individual! Lapaca is super professional and knowledgeable, not to mention compassionate❣️
