“I can’t say enough about how well cared for we felt by Phillip and the wonderful team at Montclair-Lucania. No one wants to plan a funeral, but they made the process stress-free and added thoughtful touches that made the service truly special. The banquet-hall style room suited my father so much more than a traditional space, and the catering area, and overflow spaces gave our family room to gather comfortably. A beautiful slideshow, table for family photos and artifacts, and a Bluetooth speaker for my dad’s favorite songs turned the atmosphere into more of a celebration of life than a somber occasion.

The team’s attention to detail was amazing, from providing wheelchairs and walkers when needed, to coordinating everything seamlessly on the day of. The building itself is lovely, with ample parking, so it was very easy for our guests.

Most of all, Phillip’s professionalism and kindness stood out, even as he took my family’s offbeat humor in stride during such a difficult time. When my mother recently died, I felt Michalik Funeral Home would be right for her service and burial.
