“Had the wonderful opportunity to work with Maggie after my 4th surgery to repair my instability in my wrist. My goal during occupational therapy was to get back to my old self with my new limitations. Maggie heard my concerns from the beginning and showed me many new ways to adapt. Maggie never let up on the care she provided. At times, I would share discomfort with Maggie about my limitations. She literally would stop and put herself in my shoes and would do whatever possible to help me figure out what I could do. I never heard the phrase “I don’t know” she would say “How about we try this.” I was continuously encouraged to never give up. The staff at 21st Century Rehab made my every visit quite welcoming. When the time came for discharge of care, it was bittersweet. I did feel ready, just wasn’t ready to say goodbye to the familiar faces I’ve come to love greeting in the morning.
Thank you Maggie for helping me on my new journey. I’m able to braid my child’s hair now. That is a huge win.“
