“Kara did an amazing job styling hair for my wedding day! Not only did her hairstyles look amazing, but she was also prompt, worked efficiently, and communicated well throughout the entire process.

When I first met her for the hair trial she knew exactly how to achieve the look I requested and told me upfront that adding clip-in extensions would be necessary to achieve the length and volume I was looking for in the style I wanted. She was not pushy and made it clear that I did not have to purchase extensions, but helped set expectations on how my hair would look both with and without extensions which I appreciated.

On the day of my wedding she was able to effortlessly meet the differing requests of me, my bridesmaids, the mother of the bride, and the mother of the groom. She executed two updos, one half-up half-down, and two fully down styles for the wedding and all looked phenomenal throughout the day despite us all having different hair types and the extreme humidity and heat on the day.

Beyond her expertise in hairstyling I also really appreciated her demeanor on the morning of the wedding - she was aware of the different personality dynamics in the room and not only kept her cool, but helped the entire group of us stay relaxed throughout the morning which I greatly appreciated. She was laid back and easy to work with throughout the entire wedding planning process which was important to me.

“In case you haven't heard, THEY MOVED! The Bilancia Day Spa & Wellness Center (as it is referred to now) moved from the Coralville strip to Mormon Trek Blvd near Hwy 1. Talking with staff, it sounds like the entire, large space (formerly Core) was purchased, providing enough space for them to not only add massage and service rooms, but to build out a sauna and pool area. Wow! How exciting is that?! In the meantime, they appear to be progressing in settling the spa services into the space. There is a TON of space to decorate and warm up, so there is still a little inconsistency for the tone of the environment, but you will certainly notice some of the classic design comforts and staples that were carried over from the previous location. I always appreciate the services I receive, and my recent visit was no exception. My massage therapist did some great work on some problem areas and always felt professional, yet personable, throughout. And who doesn't love the warm towel and neck pillow in the pre-services quiet room, right? So good.“
