I would highly recommend Cole to anyone! I found myself needing help with a board and batten project on our entry hallway wall. Cole came to look at and talk through the job, was up front with his (very affordable) pricing, and then got started right away. It timed out to need another half day—he saw the project through to completion, was reliable and professional, and was super friendly to be around. Cole mentioned a couple times he was a perfectionist, which worked well in my favor—the job looks fantastic. Lastly, I sprung a couple “while you’re here, would you mind helping with this” type things, and he was very kind to help out and thorough with that too, never complaining about adding on unexpected time. A great experience all around.
I love Amara! The atmosphere is SO cute and welcoming. I’ve been to multiple stylists there and they all do amazing work. I like that the stylists go over a price sheet before beginning so the price isn’t a huge surprise at the end and you can tailor the service based on your budget. The massage chairs are a great place to wait while you process. Also, being able to book online is super convenient. Highly recommend!
I really enjoy going here. I get my eyebrows waxed and the experience is nice, fast and the conversation flows well. My eyebrow hairs don't grow back as fast with the extra detail they go into which really helps.

Lindsey spent the time talking through exactly what I wanted, and the end result is perfect. She was so friendly and easy to talk to, and her suite is so comfortable. I much prefer the atmosphere over a large noisy salon. She is competitively priced, and her focus and attention to detail is exceptional.
I see Emily Shaw for extensions. She does a great, quick job installing- no extra tension or pulling. They blend so well and grow out nicely. Always helpful if I have questions or concerns and very knowledgeable on product recommendations.

The whole place worked well, as Ciara greeted me kindly and answered all of my questions that came with a first visit. It's cool decor, and their hours are very flexible. Their pricing is highly competitive and decidedly lower than major markets' costs. I don't drink alcohol, or else I'd like it even more due to their liquor offerings. You can join their membership and get some breaks, or remain on your own and still get great service.

Tre took excellent care of my 5-Year-Old. This was our first time here, as my son’s usual barber moved, so we had to find somewhere new to go. I let Tre know that my son was Autistic and that he would need some extraordinary patience with him. Tre made sure to schedule extra time for my son to adjust to him and the shop. Shockingly, my son did FANTASTIC during the appointment and Tre was great! We will be back!

I absolutely love this place. Her and her husband are incredibly nice and always take the time to do the best job they can. I’ve gone here at least 20 times and never once had one of my nails break after I left, or get smudged. The prices are cheap for the amazing work they do, make sure to thank them too!!

This place is a good find. I have lavish signature pedicures. Took about an hour including waiting for my polish to dry. They took the time to take care of my pedicure and it was amazing. It also includes a 10 minute foot and calf massage, which feels great. Our technician was so sweet and I just needed an appointment. This place is also very clean.

Highly recommend! This was my first time getting my eyebrows threaded, and I was able to walk in and be finished in under 10 mins. I naturally have pretty light and thinner eyebrows, so I’m amazed how much definition and shape I have now after getting an eyebrow thread + tint. It was also under $30! I can’t wait to come back, thank you for helping me fall in love with my eyebrows! <3

The first time I went to Pink Elephant was to get 4 different piercings. I got both my lobes done, my conch, and my helix. I have been back 3 times since (once to size the bars down, another time because my conch earring fell out and it had closed a little so I couldn't get it back in, and most recently because I needed help changing my piercings). I had no issues with my piercings healing and the process getting them done was easy and quick. The staff has been incredibly nice even when I felt silly for half the things I went in for. Most times I have been able to walk in and have been seen very quickly. I do recommend making an appointment for piercings though, just so you can be sure you're going on the days the piercers are in! The most recent time I went in, they gave me a few different tips on how to change the piercings and suggested different tools I could use. I plan on getting all of my piercings done here and am really excited to do so!
It was our first experience at Lucky Gal and I was extremely impressed! Most tattoo and piercing places I have been to just seem dirty. However I was pleasantly surprised walking in to LG. We were greeted with a smile and very informative and helpful employee who got us on the list to have multiple piercings done on our kids. Macie did an absolutely wonderful job, making the process very comfortable and gave us a lot of advice on how to care for the piercings. All in all we had a total of 4 piercings done, which were very affordable, even on two kids, and we're out the door within 40 minutes! Even our kids were so impressed with everything especially after having such a terrible experience at another place in town. 10/10 recommend and will definitely be back!!!

Tim and back office personnel were extremely courteous and timely in all interactions with us after we lost hot water. Contacted Skinner Carpet Cleaning about oil that had been leaked onto our carpet when an appliance was removed. They were out to our house the next day and got all the oil stains out - you would never know oil had gotten onto our carpet! Could not believe it! They also removed some pet stains on another carpet and went to a third room and did spot cleaning. Truly professional company and can not recommend highly enough! Tim and Dan both communicated with us by phone (no voice mail or AI chat room, etc.!!) and both are really nice, competent, professionals who are easy to be around. They charge a very fair price for extremely high quality work. If you ever need carpet cleaning in the Des Moines / Ankeny area, this is the company to call!

This is the 2nd radon remediation installation Jon has done for us; the 1st was a flip house and the 2nd was our home. Both jobs were well done at a reasonable price. The flip house read a bit high after the initial install; Jon added a 2nd access point at no additional charge and the problem was immediately fixed.Our home install was a bit complicated due to our 4 level split design. Jon alerted me to the potential issues with our home design, then installed a temporary system to ensure his planned system would work as desired. The test was successful and Jon installed a permanent system per his plan.Radon levels are good with both systems (<2.0). Fit and finish of the install is great. Jon also does a good job of cleanup.I'd definitely use Jon for any future needs.
A huge shout out to Jesse and Tara. We had a patio door shatter last night. They personally adjusted their Saturday schedule to come the next morning and put in a new door. I've been visiting Dr. Bloyer for a while now, and my back has been feeling great thanks to his attentive care. He always takes the time to explain what he's doing and why, which I really appreciate. I never thought about a chiropractor for knee pain or for my son's bed-wetting, but I'm glad I brought these concerns to him. I had a meniscus problem that I thought would need surgery. After just a couple of visits focusing on my knee, the pain was completely gone. Additionally, my 6.5-year-old son started seeing him to help with bed-wetting. After only a couple of sessions, my son has gone multiple nights in a row without wetting the bed. We're very pleased with the results and would highly recommend Dr. Bloyer!

I’ve experienced migraines since I was a teenager, it’s only gotten worse as I got older. Since starting to at Embrace Life I’ve had so much relief. I was able to take my kids to the pool and lay on my stomach while reading a book with zero pain. I’ve gone to chiropractors before and it was just a “bandaid” on my migraines, going from getting them almost weekly to I’ve only had one in the past month is truly amazing. I could feel one staring to form and Dr. Drew was able to see me right away, and almost instantly I had relief.

I have seen Ed and Jess for the last 3 years, they really take their time to examine and adjust your whole body. Coming from a chiropractor that would do a 2 min session it is comforting seeing the time they take to learn your problems and try to correct them.
Dr. Nicole was an absolute game changer for me throughout my pregnancy! I had extremely bad back and hip pain and had a lot of trouble walking. After a few visits, I was back to walking normally again! She is super knowledgeable and very kind and caring! I am excited to continue working with her and bring my new little one!
I had a terrible impinged nerve from Truth family Chiro in West Des Moines and I went back to have him fix it and he could not fix it what he had done. I then went to Norwalk chiro and tried to have that chiropractor fix it and he couldn't fix it, told me it was just my muscles. Excuse me but I know my back, I have lived with my scoliosis all my life!!! Kevin is the only one who could fix my impingement of my first rib and put it back in place!!! He listened to me and he cared about what I had to say! Thank you so much for the pain relief!! You do an amazing job!!!
He made a very good point! Scoliosis should not be fixed to try and make someone straight you have to go with the curve of their scoliosis and put them back to their curved normal!!
I came here with lower back muscle spasms. I have been to over 7 chiropractors. A lot requiring you to come back again, or fixing you well enough that you are good temporarily & then need to visit. I told them from the get go, my goal would be to adjust what needs to be & be able to visit as little as possible. My lower back injuries were from high school, and not only did they asses it flaring up again - they took me through everything I needed to do to get myself adjusted & feeling back to myself again. They were super easy to talk to, work quickly & their hours are perfect to get in before work. Everything about my visit is wonderful, I look forward to visiting again, though, with their care, it won't be for a while!
Dr. Krueger takes a lot of time to figure out what my physical challenges are. He takes the time to address them & make sure I’m feeling better before I leave. He truly cares about his patients & helping them. He’s not like many other quick in & out Chiros.

Overall a good experience, the staff are very friendly and treat you like family. My only complaint is they are pushy about follow up appointments. My husband and I listen to their recommendations and follow up when our budget allows.

We have taken our dog Lucy to this clinic for 7 years. They give great service, and usually can get you in for an appt very quickly. Lucy goes to Dr. Katie, who is very good with her. Dr. Katie does not push off medications and things that aren't needed. We trust Dr. Katie, the whole staff with doing the best they can for Lucy!

Creature Comforts got us in on a Saturday afternoon, when my cat spiked a significant fever after being extremely lethargic and anorexic. They explained the workup, cost and said they would call after the exam was completed with suggestions on treatment. Very thorough and kind.
Awesome experience! We were traveling in our RV and our dog developed a mouth infection. The front staff was so accommodating setting us up with an appointment. We arrived early, and they fit us into a cancelation. The vet was professional and knowledgeable, and we had medication in hand in under twenty minutes! What a fantastic experience-we can't thank all the staff enough! And the dog quickly recovered after a couple of days.

I would HIGHLY recommend Denise’s Doggie Do’s! They have always been nothing but professional and understanding. My pup is terrified of the blow dryers and they are always patient with her fears. They found a way to make it easier for her and were so kind and understanding. I always get nervous when it’s time to groom because I know how stressful it is for my dog, but they have helped ease my stress as well. I am so glad I started using Denise’s Doggie Do’s and I am beyond thankful for everyone there who has interacted with my girl!

Highly recommend Athletico!Charlie was my physical therapist. After having a freak accident and fracturing my tibia, I was left with a plate in my leg and non-weight bearing for 8 weeks. I thought I would never walk again (this may seem melodramatic, but that was the state of mind I was in). I had never experienced an injury to this extent before, nor had experienced a broken bone/fracture before.I had never been to physical therapy and as soon as I walked in the door, I was greeted with a smile. Charlie was wonderful with explaining what the process of PT would entail.Each member of the Athletico team at this location are extremely helpful, wonderful, and kind. If you choose to go here, you will be in great hands.I am forever thankful for Charlie and the rest of this team for their patience and kindness, and of course - to help me walk again!
Shelby was very helpful and fun to work with. After practicing yoga for years, it became obvious that twists, side bends and other basic components of yoga poses were messing with my spinal stenosis and causing pain in my right hip and outer thigh. My pain clinic suggested aquatic therapy and I'm so glad I tried it.I had several sessions with Shelby in the warm therapy pool. Later, we took a short break so I could do the routines at my gym for a few weeks on my own. We determined after that I was ready for release.Shelby printed out my exercises and laminated them for me. I take it out to the pool at the gym and do my thing for about 45 minutes. I'm so grateful to have been Shelby's patient!Shout out to Shanna, too, for calling when I was on the waitlist...many times. She kept my organized.I'd recommend Unity Point at DMACC to anyone needing aquatic therapy!
