Dr Stuart Machida has always been amazing in his care, knowledge, patience, determination, and thoroughness. He takes the time to explain everything. This gives me the understanding necessary to follow through with required treatments and note any regression or progress. He has so thoroughly examined my 103 yr old mother that he has discovered problems that a year of appointments with an ophthalmologist failed to uncover and therefore failed to properly treat, prevent further damage, and/or resolve. There are a number of problems in trying to examine the elderly. The ophthalmologists have made superficial attempts to examine my Mom with their instruments because she simply is too bent and frail to "fit" their machines. However, Dr Machida did not give up, and because of his firm determination, he was successful in doing a very thorough examination within understandable limits due to my mother's physical limitations. He truly is an amazing human being and doctor. His staff, through the years have been exceptional in their service to us. Thank you, Garice and Lei for your support, patience, kindness and friendship!!

Been seeing Dr. Machida since I was 12 years old and he is one of the most knowledgable optometrists I've ever met. Very down to earth and always has an answer to my questions. I would absolutely recommend him and his team to anyone looking for an eye doctor in the Windward area. I live in Mililani now and I still go to him!

Dr. Machida has been such a bright spot in my care team and I'm very grateful for his expertise and just overall joyfulness. His passion for his job is a rare thing to find and so very appreciated. He educates me on new procedures and has the top of the line Optomap so I don't need to get my eyes dilated. I love my new glasses too, big thanks to the office team for helping find the best fit for my face.
