“Like O'hana. Michael, from initial phone call to project finish was like working with O'hana.Received quotes from four paint contractors and his prices were the most competitive. Commissioned him to paint the exterior wood of our house and car port. Ran into issues with rotting fence posts which he was able to replace and apply caulking and brackets at the base to prevent from occurring in the future. Upon job completion, wife was not happy with finish in one of our lanais and asked to repaint it. He was courteous and gracious about this request even though we had agreed in advance on the paint color. He had to return and work an extra day to remove, sand and repaint, and did so without complaint and at no extra cost because he wanted us to be happy with the work. Michael is a true professional. His crew worked diligently with a positive attitude, and left the premises clean. My neighbor was impressed with the quality of the fence repair and painting between our homes that she hired him to paint her house as well. “Jon and his crew put a new wood shake roof on our house in East Honolulu in the early 1980's, they have been coming out doing maintenance work and applying an oil preservative treatment every four years, as well as taking care of the flat roofs. The roof is still going strong after all those years! They are very professional and knowledgeable about roofing, I would highly recommend them.“

“I recently had Protech Roofing blow insulation into my attic. They spent about 3 hours and left without a trace. No mess. I can also say that anyone who has an attic should get insulation as it makes a noticeable difference. I will use AC less often now and when I do, it wont use as much energy. “After many months of interviewing for the right roofing contractor, because I needed a contractor to reroof my old 3-layered shingled roof, which had many leaks. I needed to replace the 10 year old solar fan and fix up a problematic section of the roof which accumulated water and sediment.<br><br>I was fortunate to select the best roofing contractor in Honolulu, MRC Roofing. Not only did they step up to the challenge, they far exceeded my expectations in workmanship and superior materials, at a competitive price.<br><br>When the job started, I spent the next 2 days watching a huge team of workers transform my roof. They were able to redesign a low spot in my roof that collected water. They installed new lumber construction to create a new slope with the proper pitch to solve the low spot problem. MRC installed a second layer of underlayment free of charge. They installed a free solar attic fan as a promotional item. They were able to provide me with an extended labor and material warranty for ten cents per square foot because they are shingle factory certified installers. MRC coordinated with my hot water solar contractor so that close timeline scheduling would be possible, and my hot water panels wouldn’t be offline too long. MRC was able to access my 3-story roof, and they maneuvered around my existing PV system without having to detach and reset my PV panels. My roof had three layers of old brittle shingles that were cracking off in the wind. The new Malarkey shingles have a rubber component in the asphalt that will keep them pliable for the long term, and the extended warranty is transferable if we sell the house (a major selling point). “I had my windows installed about 1 /12 years ago with Tropical Wholesale. I still love them and find that the customer service is excellent with them. One of my screens clips snapped when I was washing the windows just recently and I didn't know how to fix it. Matt, himself came to my house and replace two clips and put the window screens back on my window. He was very courteous and professional. I see negative reviews about Tropical Wholesale but I believe it is just the competitors sending those reviews out. They get 5 stars from me.Debbie K“
