Crystal does amazing work on me and I really the experience she has and the pride she tales in her work. She also really cares about her patients and facilitates a safe space for us.

Amd Ashley, tho I'm not her patient, always seems excited and eager to give me helpful tools and support.

Even tho electrolysis is always going to be a painful process if it's going to be effective, I feel pampered when I go there.

When I was first looking for Electrolysis on island, it was Ashley at a touch of Class who not only told me I needed to switch to Kaiser if I wanted to get it covered by my health insurance, but also gave me the step by step instructions on how to get to Care Pathway Center, and who I needed to talk to to start the process. (Thank you Care Pathway Center!)

It's hard to access healthcare as a transgender woman, often because no one seems to know how to point you in the right direction, but the women at a Touch of Class know what to do. They know how to take care of you, even beyond electrolysis. It feels like going to a spa when I step into their building.

But upon walking in, the first giveaway is the skincare products on display (Environ and Elta MD brands).I met with Noelle (ESTN) for a laser Genesis facial, and she was AMAZING!!! She was so gentle, thorough, and communicative. I’ve gotten this laser done in NYC before and this felt better in quality. “Giving Lena a review because it looks like no one has done so since pre-pandemic. I went to Lena in September to get my eyebrows tattooed. I was super hesitant because I saw my mom do it in the 1990s and she had an allergic reaction and looked horrible for a week. Anyway, I'm getting to the point in my life where my appearance is still important to me, but I just want to look good without putting in too much effort. Yes, I am lazy. Anyhoo Lena was quick to respond to my email inquiry about what type of brow service I should do. I was initially thinking microblading because it is less permanent and seems to be popular these days, however after consultation Lena suggested getting my eyebrows tattooed. I have sparse non-existent eyebrows. I looked totally different with makeup and without makeup, mainly because I had no eyebrows. I would go to yoga work up a sweat and come out looking like a totally different person because my brows would melt off. After getting my brows tattooed, my husband says it looks like I have makeup on all the time, that's how much of a difference it has made. Like he thought I was hot before, but now I'm even hotter because I have nice eyebrows all the time. Lena did a fabulous job. My eyebrows are symmetrical and perfectly proportioned. The process took about 1.5 hours and I felt very little pain. I went back a month later and she touched up my eyebrows to make sure they were settling in well. Highly recommend Lena! Go get your eyebrows done by her, she's truly a professional at the top of her game.“

“I have not jumped on Yelp to do a review in a very long time...but, my ongoing experience with Elliemay has convinced me out of the woodworks. First off, I cannot adequately express in words (but obviously I'm gonna attempt to do so anyway hehe) how much of a pleasure and a relief it is to work with Elliemay! She is very professional yet personable, so genuinely caring and considerate, honest and REAL yet very respectful, sometimes sassy yet always so classy--and she's also hilarious!! She always knows something about everything it seems like, so you never run out of things to talk about. But, if you prefer silence, or music--or even sleep lol--she accommodates your preferences no problem. Yes, obviously she is a business woman, but I've found that that does not stop her from being a decent human being first and foremost. This woman has a heart of gold. I've been the recipient of so much of her goodness. You can most surely expect the same. For real. (Example: it's REALLY hard to get her to take a damn tip! Try it for yourself and see if you get lucky by chance haha) First off, if you're serious about PERMANENT hair removal (not permanent hair REDUCTION like laser hair removal), then you need to understand that it does take time. The time that it takes will vary depending upon the targeted area of the body as well as your genetics (i.e. male/female, hair density/thickness, etc.). So, again, don't go into this expecting it to be a quick hair removal process. Each hair is removed one by one by Elliemay herself, and she's got to remove probably millions of them. This is some seriously tedious work. If you're in a rush to get hair removed, then you'll probably have to take your chances with lasering...which, from personal experience, was honestly not the healthiest way to go about it. So, do know that in the beginning, it's gonna be necessary to spend at LEAST 1-3 hours per session, sometimes longer at first. But as the sessions progress and the hair density begins to lessen, the time per session is gonna begin to drop to where it doesn't even take an hour anymore to clear out any new cycles of hair that have come through since your last session. To sum up the last paragraph, electrolysis takes TIME. And so it therefore takes DEDICATION. Why the emphasis on dedication you ask? Because: 1) you'll be able to get it done in the shortest time possible (YESSSS!!), and, 2) your hairs grow in cycles--kinda like sharks teeth if you are familiar with how those grow in--rows and rows of hairs that come in one after the other. So in order to catch every hair cycle, you have to go in for your appointments consistently so you don't miss any cycles of hairs! Cause if you do miss a hair cycle, you'll have to wait weeks and even months depending on what area of the body we're talking about before that same cycle resurfaces again for you to then get it out! So--DEDICATION IS KEY AS WELL! Trust me, this is something that I struggled with hahaha. Okay, let's talk about PAIN. It all comes down to your own individual pain tolerance. But let me say that lasering was far more painful! I would take electrolysis over lasering any day! Seriously. For me, this pain is totally doable. I fall asleep all the time haha. Especially considering Elliemay has got the latest technology on the global market! Manufactured out of Canada I believe. It looks so high tech and well made. And she has consistent, routine maintenance done. So I do believe that the tolerance of the pain comes down to mainly the new machine she uses. Let's talk about...her space. It's immaculate! Cleaner than clean for real. I don't know if you'll ever be in a cleaner space. Elliemay does business out of her own private space located at the new area in Kakaako! It really plumped up and lightened my skin and I just can't wait to go back for a possible microneedling sesh!
