“I went into Dr. Berman’s office expecting a typical adjustment but was immediately greeted with a hug and a smile, followed by an hour and a half treatment. I tweaked my neck and whole upper back so bad (I woke up one morning with it messed up) and no one else could get me in that first day. But Dr. Berman responded very quick and got me in immediately. She worked out all of my tight and kinked up muscles in my neck and back and adjusted me perfectly. After the appointment I could breathe better, my face regained circulation, and I felt 1000x lighter. The pinch in my back didn’t completely go away immediately but just like she told me, it should release within 24-48 hour, and she was right. “I came here to address a sciatic-type pain that ran down my leg when I stand for prolonged periods of time. Complete X-Rays were done and evaluated and it clearly showed that my spine was way out of whack. Lower back curvature as well as more towards my neck was in need of adjustment. Paul clearly showed me where I was and where we wanted to be. After going to weekly appointments that included traction and adjustment, I was re-evaluated with another set of X-Rays. This time it showed improvement so I know we are on the right path to success. Pain down my legs has subsided (not completely gone yet) and I can stand for longer periods than before. “I recently experienced issues that led me to see two different chiropractors within the past few months. I had just one session with the first, then decided it wasn't for me. With the second, initially I was hopeful, then after a few treatments, I began to feel that the chiropractor lacked experience - both professional and in life. “It's been a few weeks since I've been going to Dr. Kwak for treatment regarding upper back/neck pain and posture correction due to years of working a desk job (with many more to come)! “I don't have much experience with chiropractic services but my achey neck and shoulders were waking me up at night so I decided to try it out. Dr. Tanaka was the only person who returned my call and surprised me by making time the very next day. Most places schedule you for weeks later. He's super nice and chill energy and genuinely concerned with your well being. The office is very homey and the equipment he uses on you are unfamiliar to me . Although nothing was painful some treatments are a bit jarring (fyi). I was open to everything he would try though. After x-rays and general adjustments and 'decompression', I did feel much better. He also recommended certain exercises and purchasing a device to continue decompression at home. I didn't have small bills to pay for my co-pay so I owe him $3 lol. Who does that in this day and age? My only issue (and it's his too) is that the building's elevator has been broken for some time so you need to navigate the parking garage to the building stairs to the 5th floor to get into the building and then go to the 10th floor via that elevator.“

First off, the Hawaii Wellness Group shares offices with the Honolulu Pain Relief Center on the 16th floor of the Interstate Building. I had been going to Honolulu Pain Relief Center for my chiropractic needs on a regular basis but following the moped accident, the front desk staff were kind enough to refer me to Dr. John who wrote up a prescription to get massage therapy especially for the parts of my body that continue to hurt weeks after the moped injury accident. As I've come to learn, all that paperwork among other legal-related things can and does take a while and can be confusing, but in the end, I'm just thankful to be getting any additional treatment I need to get better.“
