I had foot surgery a few years ago. Now, I have pins and needles and burning sensations in my feet. A friend told me that she’d had luck with healing a stubborn wound from an injury with red light therapy at Pure Energy. Cat showed me that she can calibrate the red light bed specifically for the pain management that I’m working on. From the first session, I noticed a real difference. Booked them online on Friday for a Saturday removal. Shocked they were able to achieve the quick turnaround for a big job. Professional and thorough. Original quote was a little higher than we expected but honestly worth every penny. They came in just a hair above quote when finished but they worked for about 5-6 hours and brought two men who continuously worked! Impressed and would definitely recommend or use them again! I can not recommend Cristy enough. I made a last minute appointment to get my haircut and knew this would be risky for me because I have very wavy/curly. I didn’t even have to beg Cristy to keep my length like I would for most stylists because as soon as I sat in her chair she said “I want to keep the length.” Cristy was so nice and personable and she told me she would trim my bangs longer than normal to give my curls a chance to shrink and if I wanted them shorter I could always come back for a another trim. If I could give 10million stars I would!
Eric was absolutely excellent! So calm and reassuring when discussing options for my hair after I had an absolutely chaotic morning. He was able to fit in extra hair treatment services in our appointment time and his background in lomi lomi was obvious - the pre-cut shampooing session was like a mini spa healing treatment in itself! Super happy with my hair and with the salon overall. Bonus feature was I was able to book an eyebrow wax appt online at the same time via their online scheduling tool. Angela was great and I didn’t break out in hives afterward like I normally do for an hour or so after other wax places. Highly recommend this place!

I’ve been coming to this place for over a year now. Tara does my pedicure. She does an amazing job. she takes her time, I never feel rushed. she makes sure my toes are perfect. Ana does a great job doing my nails. She always replicates every design I show her. Ana’s attention to detail is impeccable. I’m very tough with my nails and they always last me four plus weeks. They do take walk-ins, I do recommend to make an appointment.
I walked into today getting my first perm ever. I was seated down and was given a quick and really clean low taper. Furthermore, I then proceeded to get my hair washed and the curl rods put in. The entire experience was relaxing, and the final product was nothing but spectacular. (5 stars all day)

I always have anxiety finding new hair stylists because of my curls/ringlets, I have had pretty awful cuts in the past by people who mean well but don’t exactly know how to cut curly hair. Courtney was great and gave me exactly what I wanted! Highly recommend her.

They are very respectful of appointment times, and if you’re visiting you need to make one. They are busy, and can rarely take walk-ins on the weekends, because they are amazing!

When I was first looking for Electrolysis on island, it was Ashley at a touch of Class who not only told me I needed to switch to Kaiser if I wanted to get it covered by my health insurance, but also gave me the step by step instructions on how to get to Care Pathway Center, and who I needed to talk to to start the process. (Thank you Care Pathway Center!)
It's hard to access healthcare as a transgender woman, often because no one seems to know how to point you in the right direction, but the women at a Touch of Class know what to do. They know how to take care of you, even beyond electrolysis. It feels like going to a spa when I step into their building.
I think anyone, but especially any transgender patients, would be very lucky to be a patient at A Touch of Class.

Genesis is the girl you need! I went from shaving to waxing but after doing sugaring the first time ever with her I’m forever converted! She is so sweet and makes you feel so comfortable and cares about giving you the best treatment possible, my Brazilian has never been so pain-less and easy. She even converted me to underarms and they are so much brighter and less hair than ever before. The prices are cheap for the excellent service and expertise you are receiving. And you will always get a little treat at the end of your service you cannot beat that!

Have had nothing but good experiences with Rob's team @creative energy. First we had them install 41 solar panels in 2015. Several years later we had them send out a team to clean our panels. Most recently we had them move a couple of electrical panels/wiring and some work for an addition we did. They had to trench and move/install.The guys are always super friendly and Nikki is awesome.I hadn't reviewed sooner because I don't yelp much and happened to be getting ready to have them clean the panels again.

We worked with Rick and Sage at R. Clary on two major projects at our forever home in Kailua. They built us a 2-bedroom ADU above our garage in a quick +/- 90 days. Quality workmanship, great crew and responsive follow-up as necessary - phase 1 of our plan for improvements to our property. Phase 2 was extensive enough so that we moved out of the main residence for a few months while walls came down, new more-workable spaces were created, and the house was made much more comfortable for our three-generation `ohana. Phase 2 was done a few weeks ahead of original projections and our place is gorgeous. We have lived in Kailua for 46 years and try as much as possible to work with Kailua companies. These guys are great - their help with planning and quality work made potentially stressful months pretty easy. Highly recommended.

I highly recommend Dr. Dunkelberger! I went in for a concern about two molars previously treated by another dentist. While demonstrating how I floss, I accidentally popped out an onlay/partial crown! Dr. Dunkelberger immediately fit me in for a second appointment during my visit and fixed it--now it feels so much better! Big thanks also to dental assistant Hannah and the friendly front desk staff. The KDC office has great vibes!
Front desk customer service is amazing, everyone at the office is very professional and does a great job, Dr Hannah is the best dentist I have ever been to and my husband also agrees. You can tell him and his whole staff care about their patients and are highly trained and educated. I never thought I would say this but I love going to the dentist because of all of them.
Dr. Oishi is without the best dentist. He and his staff are friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I first transferred my dental care to Dr. Oishi at the recommendation of a family member when my prior dentist wanted to do a procedure that would have cost $2,000+. When I saw Dr. Oishi, he advised the procedure was not necessary. I've bee his patient for years now and have intention of changing.
We've taken our animals to Makai Animal clinic many times and they have always been great. Recently however when we had to put our elderly dog down, everyone there was extremely kind and caring as they comforted us in our time of sadness. The vet even gave us a later than usual appointment to accommodate us.
For anyone who is looking for an integrative medicine practice for their four legged family members, I strongly recommend Dr. Levine and Julie and KAI Animal Institute.Stepping into KAI Animal Institute's studio, we were greeted with a calming and healing oasis that was thoughtfully designed for animals where Dr. Levine used various treatments like low level light laser therapy, rehab therapy, targeted pulse electromagnetic field therapy, and acupuncture for our dog’s pain. In addition, his wife, Julie, an animal behaviorist, performed harmonic therapy for our dog during the treatment which used sound healing powers to further help calm and treat our dog in addition to the acupuncture, etc. Soothing music was played in the background during the treatment session.During and after each session, we could see a change in our dog’s behavior and demeanor. She would smile and be so happy, excited to go to KAI Animal Institute’s healing oasis and see Dr. Levine and Julie. After a few treatments, she was able to stand for brief periods with assistance and continually kept trying to use her back legs on her own.We are so thankful, grateful and blessed to have met Dr. Levine and Julie and can’t recommend them enough for complementary care for animals dealing with pain or recovering from an injury or surgery.
I recently had to make the hard decision to let my cat of 17 years go. I'd heard good things about Arms of Aloha, and I'm glad I made the call. Dr. Carolyn Nuan came just in time to help send my boy off right when he needed it most. I'm glad I went with Arms of Aloha. Dr. Nuan came to my house, stepped me through the process, and provided a soft blanket for my cat to lay on so he could pass away on my lap. When he'd crossed over, Dr. Nuan provided a pet bed at the back of the Arms of Aloha van which really helped me through the process. The staff has been very communicative and supportive. I appreciate the follow up card, paper gifts, information, and support group resources. My boy came back to me about a week later, so it was a fairly quick turn around. Hopefully it'll be a long while before I need their service again, but I would definitely contact Arms of Aloha if I need to send another pet off.
We have received nothing but great care from all of the staff at Makai Pet Hospital. They've taken great care of and been so helpful with our dog. The waiting space and rooms are always clean. Everyone is always friendly and informative. Family friendly office as well.
This location is the smallest Ali’i Animal I’ve been too, but they’re great. The waiting area outside was a great idea and kept my dog feeling comfortable.
They don’t have a waiting room, but they bring your pet right out to your car and the vet will consult with you there too! They’re super nice and care a lot about your pet. Highly recommend.

Back story - I used to bring my old dog here years ago. When my family came back from Japan with a new dog, this office wasn’t open.
My dog was not acting like his usual self. His normal vet could not see him. I was told I needed to call around to other offices. I noticed Kailua Pet Hospital was open and decided to call. The gentleman who answered the phone at the front desk was so helpful and got me in within an hour. Dr. Thornburg was amazing and my dog felt comfortable with everyone in the office. It was decided that my dog more than likely injured his neck. We were sent home with meds that visit to help him feel more comfortable. Thank goodness he was able to be seen and the doctor figured it out, because he was in so much pain and the next day he was feeling so much better.

I couldn't recommend Kailua Acupuncture Clinic more! I've been seeing Dr. Mariya Gold for many months now – throughout the majority of my pregnancy – and she's been so thoughtful, helpful and knowledgeable. She listens and tailors every session to what I'm feeling, and then at the next session will ask how that thing we treated last week is... and by that time, I've forgotten about it because she did such a great job healing it!

I’ve seen Emily Cox for acupuncture a few times and she is amazing! Very intuitive, calm and knowledgeable. She helped me tremendously during an occipital neuralgia episode, and also with transmuting emotional blockages. Highly recommended!
