Nancy, a sweet Vietnamese lady, washed, conditioned, and cut my hair and even applied the flat iron to my hair. I guess she didn't like my wavy hair. The scalp massage was on the rough side, but it comes with ear lobe massage. My hair just needs an occasional cut to keep it from getting too bushy, and Nancy gave me a salon treatment. Nancy seems competent and for that I'd recommend her.
Big shoutout to Nancy for killing this peekaboo look! I brought a couple reference photos for different shades of purple, and to be honest I was a little worried that the purple wouldn't stand out from my black hair. However, Nancy told me that the shade I wanted was achievable! When she showed me my hair after washing and drying, I was amazed to see how vibrant it was. The salon gets filled up fast so I would recommend setting up an appointment. Studio 4TUNE does validated parking too. They also offer a kama'aina discount!Also, Nancy was very kind to wait for me as my appointment was right after my class. I appreciate how thorough she was with separating my hair during the bleaching and dyeing stages, and with styling my hair at the end.
Absolutely LOVED our treatment we booked here! I had heard about Japanese head spa treatments and there are so few salons where we live that actually have them available, so finding Hair Studio 4Tune while on vacation was perfect! The salon is located underneath the hotel itself so follow the steps leading downstairs right after the convenience store to find it. It is a small salon, and all run by Nancy herself so appointments are highly suggested, but she does take walk-ins if there aren't any customers. We came in and I sat down first for the treatment and it basically consists of two shampoo rinses (with a light scalp massage) followed by a deep conditioning treatment in which she really gives you an amazing scalp massage along with a few tools and a warm neck compress while you drift off to sleep. Both my husband and I received the treatment and we agreed that it was amazing and wished we lived closer to get these on a weekly basis! If you are in the area or are curious about head spas, I highly encourage you to visit Nancy and let her work some magic on you!
