My family and I chose Chris and his crew to do some interior and exterior fixes around our house and we are glad we chose them! They came every morning on time and sometimes stayed later than expected to finish some little "here and there" touch ups! They filled all expectations regarding our renovation and they were very fun and friendly to work with! I'd choose them again if I need something done again! We had a pipe leak- and needed drywall, paint, flooring and a new countertop. It seemed like a lot to handle but Kai was with us every step of the way and explained everything clearly for us. His team works so quickly and efficiently as well! Their showroom is also perfect for picking out all of what you need at once- we were able to pick out everything in one go and it was awesome!

“Kudos to Ringo and his team at Essential Cabinets for truly upgrading and modernizing our kitchen! We chose a lightly speckled gray for our cabinet resurfacing, which we think was a choice they would normally not have recommended... but their collective voice simply supported the changes we wanted to have made and they followed through. We love it! (We have a fairly large kitchen, and must add that we had a bigger picture in mind of what we wanted it to look like by putting in backsplashes by ourselves that pulled in the colors of our granite counters and floors with the new cabinets after the job was completed to give the kitchen an artistic touch.) We had great rapport with the installers, and Ringo's advice and continuous, open communication channels were always open certainly made the upheaval during the job a pleasant one. “We just completed our kitchen remodel which consisted to totally gutting it and cutting back a wall. So everything is brand new from floor to ceiling and we couldn't be happier. We did a lot of research and leg work before we settled on John Cook Kitchens. Shelley, (who's a certified designer) worked with us and really listened to our concerns and wants. We already had a design in mind but wasn't sure how it would all work. She was extremely patient and detail oriented to make sure everything would fit and work together. She also gave some good suggestions and brought up things we hadn't considered. And she wasn't in the least bit pushy or trying to up-sell! Theresa, her assistant was a delight to work with and all the cabinets came in a timely fashion and the kitchen was finished ahead of schedule. When we started this venture we discovered how very little info and reviews there were on this subject in Honolulu. With that in mind we promised ourselves that when our kitchen was finished we would put "our two cents" in so it could help others in the future who are in the same position . We would not hesitate to recommend this company and will use them in the future when we embark on our bathroom remodel. So happy to learn they also do bathrooms;-)“

“James and his crew did an excellent job on our bathroom. No matter our request the answer was always "no problem". The price was set at the start and did not change a penny. Our old 1979 bathroom was in desperate need of a redo, and Oahu Home Construction delivered. They showed up for the quote at the right time, the workers were here every day on time, clean, sober, and hard working! We closed ourselves off in other rooms due to COVID-19, but whenever we needed to interact everyone wore masks and was safe! We were particularly impressed by the custom trim work on the vanity, and the plumb tile installation on our local kine(not plumb) wall. I highly recommend Oahu Home Construction for you bathroom renovation.“

Lynn and Willie are the best at what they do and I will be sad when they decide to retire. “Fantastic people to work with and have used them since April 2021, after an unpleasant experience with another contractor, to March 2023. As my parents were in the way upper 80s, we needed to plan ahead and renovate to make the home elderly friendly. Grab bars everywhere, unobstructed walk-in showers, bathroom and bedroom doors wheelchair compliant and turn the family room into a downstairs bedroom. Maikai Cabinets helped us to keep the cost down and yet have quality materials, craftsmanship, and customer service.
