“What a saturday! I am having a home generator system installed. the same day My HVAC system went out. I have used James’s company before and why I didn’t call them Saturday I don’t know what i was thinking . Anyways I call a 24 hour company. Now keep in mind I have a 1981 sears unit that my grandparents bought. It is caved in on the front where a tree from a tornado years ago fell on it. But it works great and will freeze you out of the house. It has a small leak and Im told every year it will need to be replaced soon. Its absolutely outlived itself. The company I had called came and looked and within 15 minutes let me know it was going to have to be replaced . the compressor was gone and causing the breaker to throw. They leave me with quote of a 14,000 unit with great warranty etc and they can be here Tuesday . Just sign and authorize this quote. I told him I wanted to get a second quote and that I felt obligated to call James Thomas as I have used them before. The guys states “ James isn’t local he lives in Blue Ridge”. I replied yes I know this but I also went to school with him and his family is here as well. Christian Taylor from Thomas Heating and Air came out about 2 hours later. He looked at the unit called me over and it was running. He had cleaned a clog out and said I needed to really get it deep cleaned and ask if I would like to get this scheduled. I said “ yes please”. He topped it off the Freon and my bill was 490 dollars vs 14,000. Now he could of easily said it was too old and needed to be replaced but he did not. He saw that I am in the middle of a home renovation and the home generator being installed . Money going out left and right. I know it has to be replaced eventually. But Christian make it possible to buy me a little bit more time ! Hang on for 1 more year please !“

“The type of customer service provided by Sheffield's is hard to find these days. Wow! Our upstairs was warm and we wondered if we could improve it. Chris came out, conducted a thorough investigation and made several suggestions. He returned to do the work with a young employee and listening to how he patiently instructed the young man brightened our day. Upstairs runs much cooler and we were even provided insights into newer type thermostats, but we're not pushed to buy one. Highly recommend!“
