“I was generally pleased with the speed of the work, but I felt it was rushed, which was exactly what I wanted to avoid. This rush likely resulted in the contractor losing out on additional earnings. For instance, he could have suggested replacing the outdated fiberboard sheathing and insulation instead of simply applying a weather seal, which would have increased his earnings from me. Additionally, when I returned from a trip with COVID, I had to immediately remove my LED lighting, which was inconvenient. Despite our established relationship, the contractor didn't fully capitalize on the opportunity to enhance the project. There were also some coordination issues. For example, I had to intervene to stop them from caulking and power washing simultaneously, which could have compromised the quality of the work. Moreover, we had an agreement to replace our portico with vinyl, but this was not completed because the materials were inadequate for the job, resulting in a $10,000 discount but leaving us without a portico. It's now January 2024, and I've been asked to wait until March for a follow-up, which is frustrating because the remaining tasks are minor and something I could manage myself, but that's not what I paid for. Despite these setbacks, it's important to acknowledge that the workers did perform well under the circumstances. The issues seem more reflective of industry-wide problems ( HomeRenoVisionDIY How to Find A Good Contractor Part 3 ) rather than the fault of the workers themselves. If you can get past the contractor's dynamic personality and ensure clear communication about your needs, there's potential for satisfactory results.“

The team was great from start to finish (and beyond). They were incredibly helpful to work with me and insurance to ensure they had all the details they needed to complete a proper claim regarding our damage. A few times they needed more information or some correction in their analysis and the team was on it. They took the stress and confusion off of me and handled it which was great.

When the roof was replaced, they coordinated it with me in advance, had a team available to assist on the day of, and came by TWICE after the job was complete to make absolutely sure we were satisfied. They also were sure to use their device to get any roofing nail that could have been in the lawn or driveway. We didn't get a single roofing nail in our tire or feet in the yard. I consider that a success on its own!

In all seriousness, I would recommend Transcend every single time. We had a fantastic experience, and I would use them again tomorrow - even if I hope to never need another roof :)“

After discounting the high and low proposals, Bird's Eye and the other were close in experience and remarkably close in price ($16.). I chose Bird's Eye due to Calvin Cook and his roofing knowledge and professionalism. He answered our questions and made sensible recommendations for the best install. From choosing the best shingle material, style, and color to picking out the proper chimney cap, Calvin was always assisting us throughout the process. “I met Jeff and Kyle when that large storm came through Forsyth County in Aug. 2023, where fortunately, we incurred only minor roof damage. I knew the Tenth Roof had done a bunch of work in our neighborhood, so I called them. They quickly came out and addressed our issues. Fast forward to Hurricane Helene. I thought I'd give Kyle and Jeff a ring a couple days before the storm hit and maybe get into their "queue", so to speak, in the event that our area had damage. Well, as "luck" would have it, we developed a leak during the heavy rain in advanced of Helene, so I called Jeff back the next day and he came over immediately and fixed the issue in the rain. Took him what seemed about 15 seconds to find the problem. It brings alot of comfort knowing that I can rely on Jeff and Kyle when the roof becomes an issue. They are very personable, knowledgeable and I trust them, their work and feel that we are already building a relationship. Again, that brings alot of peace of mind since we typically do not call the roofer just to say hello, it's often a needed repair that has to be done quickly to mitigate further damage. “Lee and Luis were great and I would definitely recommend.

I'm a new home owner and had a issue come up with one of our gutters and facia board becoming detached from the rafters of the house. Resulting in a open gap to our attic and the outside, plus when it rained the gutters would sag. This happened on a saturday late afternoon, the next day was mothers day and rain was coming. I researched and all the other companies were closed but Lee answered right away and we talked through it. Even better Luis was there to inspect like an hour later. I was so pumped they were so responsive. The estimate came in a day later which was fair compared to others and Luis was out the next day for the repair. It turned out great and they really helped me out of a tough spot. If this gutter came off my roof it would have caused so much more damage and would have been a nightmare. Because they were so quick it stopped this from becoming a much bigger issue.

Lee's service was awesome. He was always responsive and even personally came out to see the work and introduce himself. Also I wanted a return visit for a part of the repair and Lee could not have been nicer about it. Insisting they come back immediately at no charge.
