“The last time I posted a review here was 6 years ago right before my blackbelt test. As of April this year I just received my second degree blackbelt. It has been an amazing experience growing here at this dojo for the past 11 years and I’d recommend it to anyone. After having worked here the past year as well, I’ve met some amazing people and friends that I’ll never forget. The instructors are both awesome as well as Mr. Donofrio and I owe them all so much. Although I am starting college now, I will always be here to support the Dojo and return whenever I can. Love this place.“

“My son (age 11) has been studying at FFMAA and has had a fantastic experience. This is NOT like the "large chain" martial arts studios where you feel like you get lost in the crowd. All the instructors are highly trained and are great working with the kids to teach them new skills and more importantly teaching them about positive attitudes and respecting others. FFMAA is the best of the best!“

“My son is 15 and played soccer all his life but decided a wanted a change. He chose martial arts, and after trying out several places, we found Krav Pro. He absolutely loves it here. There is such a sense of camaraderie, and the older, more experienced students are so helpful with the new students. My son is gaining a lot of confidence in this class and I see him interacting more with people and not being so shy and reserved. I’m so glad we found this place. He is a white belt right now but will be moving up to the next color in a couple of weeks. He’s looking forward to joining the black belt training class! The owners and teachers are amazing here. Highly recommended!!“

“Dropped in here for a BJJ class from out of state. Paul was there at the front desk and greeted me along with another staff as soon as a came in. Paid a drop-in fee as a visitor. This gym is VERY nice. It has a lobby area with couches, a fitness/weight area, clean locker rooms, and sufficient mat space. Paul taught the intro/fundamentals class where we did some warm ups, basic judo trip, butterfly sweep and Americana from side control. We wrapped up the class with a positional round and a some standard rounds. I had to leave before the later classes started but there were a lot of students with a variety of ranks.Overall this is definitely a great gym with good instructors and students. If I lived in the area, this is very likely where I would train given. Highly recommend to visitors or people looking for a place to train long term.“

“We love Karate Atlanta Alpharetta! Our son has been coming here for almost a year. We’ve seen his discipline improve and his confidence soar. Not only do they teach Tae Kwon Doe but also important life lessons. Mr. Chapovsky and Mx. Ashley are professional yet extremely personable and they make it feel like we’re all an important part of their KA family. Highly Recommend!“

“After trying out many different MMA clubs, True Strength MMA is hand down the best one. Coach Victor and his team really care about the students and they plan their lessons very well. The Muay Thai classes are offered several times a week and what I really like about them is that the lessons are different each time, focusing on conditioning and variations of fighting techniques. I really enjoy their classes.“

“So I wanted to get back into the world of martial arts and I found JC World Taekwondo on Google and took the trial class and wow…I love the class and how it is ran. Master Choi is great and will break down every technique in the most simplest way possible and wants the best out of every single student regardless what level you are. I highly recommend this school because it’s a game changer for your physical health and mental health as well.“

“This review is very long overdue! My wife and I began training at Tiger Academy way back in 2007 when it was in the plaza on Holcomb Bridge Rd. just east of 400. Although MMA had been growing since the mid90s, it wasn't nearly as popular as it is now, and at the time Tiger Academy was one of the first and only Gracie-endorsed Jiu-Jitsu schools to open in metro Atlanta. In fact, Helio Gracie (RIP), the patriarch of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu did a book-signing there. The quality instruction drew everyone from Navy Seals, to law enforcement, to bouncers, to housewives, to regular students (some of whom drove from as far as Clayton County three times each week for evening lessons!). My wife and I learned a lot while training, practicing and rolling after class under the supervision and coaching of Sifu Eddie and his talented instructors. But what we also really appreciated was the emphasis on critical thinking, situational awareness, and de-escalation over confrontation whenever possible. We liked that so much that we signed our then 7th grader up, and later when our youngest child got to 7th grade we enrolled her at Tiger Academy too. We have since referred several friends, neighbors, and coworkers, many of whom have had one or more subpar experiences at other martial arts businesses. The ones who sign up at Tiger Academy always report positive experiences. Don't take my word for it. Tiger Academy has always offered a week of free classes to see if it's a good fit. Thank me later.“

“To say that the Dojo is a great place to train in Karate is a vast understatement: it is a life altering experience. My children go there and not only are they receiving top notch martial arts training, but they are trained to be the best people they can be. After my older child trained here for a year, I decided to join too, and I strongly regret not joining earlier. I'm learning a new sport, surrounded by a community of wonderful and supportive people, learning a new language, and learning new philosophies. I also feel the best I've felt in years: I've literally had a doctor prescribe more Karate for me. I have nothing but respect and feelings of joy towards the Dojo and all the staff there.“

“My kid loves doing taekwondo here! The owners are super nice and friendly. The instructors are respectful and professional. I love that each belt color represents a key concept, and they actually talk to the students about them and teach what each one means.“
