“JJT is the kind of gem you want to keep all to yourself, but I can’t help but rave about the studio! Masters Jeon and Paulo are a phenomenal team, both highly technically skilled in their craft, and also excellent teachers with the perfect mix of challenge, encouragement, and fun. As I sit in the waiting area with other parents, I look around and see so many people smiling, watching their students become better versions of themselves. This studio is a treasure in East Cobb!!“

“We love Karate Atlanta Alpharetta! Our son has been coming here for almost a year. We’ve seen his discipline improve and his confidence soar. Not only do they teach Tae Kwon Doe but also important life lessons. Mr. Chapovsky and Mx. Ashley are professional yet extremely personable and they make it feel like we’re all an important part of their KA family. Highly Recommend!“

“So I wanted to get back into the world of martial arts and I found JC World Taekwondo on Google and took the trial class and wow…I love the class and how it is ran. Master Choi is great and will break down every technique in the most simplest way possible and wants the best out of every single student regardless what level you are. I highly recommend this school because it’s a game changer for your physical health and mental health as well.“

“After trying out many different MMA clubs, True Strength MMA is hand down the best one. Coach Victor and his team really care about the students and they plan their lessons very well. The Muay Thai classes are offered several times a week and what I really like about them is that the lessons are different each time, focusing on conditioning and variations of fighting techniques. I really enjoy their classes.“

“UPDATE 7/12/23: I updated my review to remove a fee I listed in error. I found out they do not charge a renewal registration fee for existing memberships.ORIGINAL 7/7/23: My daughter has been coming here for exactly a year on 7/9/2023. I actually really like this place. The Coach and the Master instructor are REALLY GREAT with kids. (The owner is a Gemini so duhh) lol They really give you good class times for your buck. He holds a total of 4 classes during the week for TKD (Tues, Wed Thurs & Sat). That's literally 12 classes a month for the monthly price. Sometimes I am late on my payment and they works with me so I really appreciate that. My child started off as a white belt and is currently an orange belt (& she missed one belt ceremony). So if your child does the work and learns their skills they will definitely be recognized for it and advance to the next level. With that being said I have to outline the fees for any single parents struggling with balancing household expenses and your child's activities. So, you get to choose your membership options and I chose the yearly option where I pay monthly but whatever your monthly charge is slap on an extra $5 bucks as a service fee to make the payment. Also keep in mind, every belt ceremony requires a belt fee & any tournament or class event that is thrown will require a fee (which is understandable but sometimes the prices are extreme for a one parent household). I'm not complaining I'm just telling you so you can plan accordingly.Overall we really love Coach Joe and Coach Paul and we won't be going anywhere else!“

“I’ve grown up with a lot of martial arts in my life. Judo and shotokan were my first two systems taught from father to my brother and me from kindergarten before studying a few other systems as a teenager. From all my training, I have seen many kinds of teaching, but two systems have stood out; one is our system here and the other was a very traditional southern kung fu kwoon. For me, the traditional path is best. These systems of martial arts were developed over centuries. In a world of sports fighting, we often forget the “martial” aspect. These systems were developed by oppressed people for self defense from outsiders who had conquered their lands with large militaries, like Okinawa. The systems in the dojo blend beautifully together. Both systems extend from Okinawa. (Other reviews claiming the system here is too Japanese are confusing shotokan (Japanese) with shudokan (Okinawan). I have studied both and they are quite different, despite similarity in the name. This would lead me to question the knowledge of such a reviewer.Hundreds of years. These systems were developed from roots that existed before our country. The techniques have been tested across sundry generations. They work. The system is also developed to teach martial skills - the ability to defend yourself - without the need for you to hurt yourself sparring with lots of people. The systems work.Come try out the dojo. Moeller Sensei will introduce you to everyone. It’s a welcoming environment for everyone, no judgment. If you’re looking for a Cobra Kai kind of dojo (great series on Netflix) then this is NOT it. This is about thoughtful development of skills that meet your abilities and then the work to increase those abilities. It’s excellent. You will develop. You will progress, and progression is earned on merit. There are no testing fees or anything like this. Moeller Sensei does not run the school to make money; he has a full time job. Moeller Sensei runs the school for his love of sharing two traditional systems of karate.Come join us for a class.“

“There are many programs these days, offering grappling and striking. Yet, rare are the coaches that have competed at the “top” of the mountain. This gym has coaches and fighters that have and continue to fight across the globe, collecting world championship belts across disciplines. Coach Richard, in particular, is one of the most accomplished coaches one can find on US soil. He achieved great things as a pro boxer, pro kickboxer and Judoka. If you are interested in the fight sport, and are in the Atlanta Metro… this is the place to be.“

“Kwangjang Nim Sullivan is one of the most dedicated martial artists I’ve met in 32 years of martial arts training! Honored to have trained with him at his school! It’s top tier bar none.“

“I've been training here for a year now! More consistently in the past few months. As a female college student, whatever techniques taught here are really useful in a real situation. I love it the fact that it's still rooted in traditional shotokan karate, but we also explore other martial arts' techniques and adopt what work in a real fight. Sensei Chapman constantly pushes his students to the limit, but hey no pain, no gain. I feel like this is my true family in Karate! OOSSUUU“

“Jeremy has taught us things that we can utilize in realistic situations and while being fun, it also helps my family and I feel more secure in case of such happening. Jeremy is very patient with his students I'm sure of by the way he instructs us, and he brings concepts across in an easily comprehensible manner.-Emmanuel“

“This is an outstanding Martial Arts studio. Mr. Ross and Mr. Croom are amazing. You not only learn martial arts but respect and focus as well. My son is autistic. They push him to stay focused in a positive manner. He is in Black Belt Training where you can learn nun chucks, coli stick, staff, and more. Mr. Ross is a Master on the nun chucks and also studied in Korea for 3 years. Would 100% recommend not only for the martial arts but also for the mental toughness that they instill and real life scenarios that they invoke so you know to react. They, also, make it really fun! Can't say enough positive things about this place!“

“The main reason I decided to put my 3 year old in Karate was for him to gain confidence and stand up for himself. It’s been 2 years since he’s been going to Karate and I have to say the instructors here are amazing, they have helped my son with so much and I’m so thankful. They seem so passionate about their job and work so well with every kid. My son loves his teachers and appreciates them so much. A great martial schools overall. I can’t wait for my daughter to join soon as well.“

“Unit 2 Fitness has been a wonderful experience so far. The entire staff was very friendly and attentive. From the first website inquiry to the text messages to greeting me in person for my first class, it has been a positive experience. Coach Ryne is a great instructor. He has been extremely patient with me as I am new to BJJ and how everything works, and it takes me a while for something to sink in. He is also encouraging and makes the class fun and exciting. I look forward to more classes with Coach Ryne and continuing my journey down the BJJ road.“

“To say that the Dojo is a great place to train in Karate is a vast understatement: it is a life altering experience. My children go there and not only are they receiving top notch martial arts training, but they are trained to be the best people they can be. After my older child trained here for a year, I decided to join too, and I strongly regret not joining earlier. I'm learning a new sport, surrounded by a community of wonderful and supportive people, learning a new language, and learning new philosophies. I also feel the best I've felt in years: I've literally had a doctor prescribe more Karate for me. I have nothing but respect and feelings of joy towards the Dojo and all the staff there.“
