(10/19)- So I went back here about 2-3 weeks ago for twists. The Braider doing my hair wasn’t the same woman I had last time (ofc). She kept leaving every few minutes. Even left for almost an hour after starting my hair. I wanted my twists to be knotless at the roots so they lasted longer and she didn’t do what I asked. She gave me knots and my hair is now coming out in chunks around my edges. She was gripping and pulling at my scalp VERY tightly that I left with a migraine and had to use a hot towel on my head the entire night when I got home. I walked in around 1:30pm and was the last one in the shop around 9pm. My parts in the back are a LOT bigger than the front and there’s too many parts in the front so I can’t even style my hair. I just wear it in a low ponytail for work. I just finally stopped getting blisters and pimples around my hairline and edges from the hair FINALLY loosening up. I paid $200 for a style i absolutely hated. Next time I go I will request for the woman I had the first time. I sat patiently through my appointment but it reminded me of why I stopped letting people touch my head because they don’t take proper care of it and don’t listen to the instructions you give them.

This is definitely my new go-to place for brows/body hair removal. My bikini wax was quick and virtually painless, and even though I had never tried eyebrow threading before, I am extremely happy with how they turned out. Overall, I had about four services done, and still ended up paying less than I have in the past for fewer services at other places. Cannot recommend the staff more.

I don’t know his name but his chair sits on the left side in the front. LOVE LOVE LOVE HIM! He’s been cutting my son hair since he was two. Only spot you can get a good hair cut for under $20! Everywhere will charge you an arm and a leg for the most basic cut for a young one.

Very welcoming staff, professional, and fast. Everyone inside was cool, the barbers really try to squeeze in walk ins to help you out even when you don't have an appointment. I saw how they were cutting everyone else's hair, which was sharp, clean, and they all take their time to give you a perfect cut. They also take the time to sanitize everything. Including the seats, the tools they use, the blades and everything. Brian cleaned up and faded the beard. He did a phenomenal job. Even used a hot towel and I never asked. He did the beard lining to precision, I couldn’t even feel the blade at all when he was sharpening the edges. That takes a sharp edge and some skill. A lot of other barbers you go to you will feel the blade. But getting your haircut here, the way they do it especially, is the best way. So if I ever do come by to this area for sure I would come get a full haircut!Highly reccomend 10/10Staff 10/10Experience 10/10

I called around to a few nail shops in the area and Ginseng had the most reasonable price for a basic pedicure at $30. I came in around 5:30pm on a Thursday and, thankfully, didn't have to wait. India did my pedicure and got me in & out of there within 45 minutes. I had a wonderful experience with her and loved that I was contributing to a black owned business! I believe in black girl magic and this nail salon has it! I'll definitely be back. Thx Ms. India!

I normally go downtown to City Nail and get my nails done but this last time I wasn’t really happy with how my overlay on my natural nails looked. So I let it grow out and came here to get a fill in and a pedicure. I hadn’t been here since 2017 but I’m glad I came back. My nails look really good my feet look good as well. Just got another flawless haircut from Kristy McKinley, that's seven or eight in a row. A friend just asked if I'd been working out. No, LOL, but i got a great cut and that comment was worth putting into a review. I always ask her to cut my hair so it will look good for a few months, instead of the usual six weeks. The quality of work is unparalleled, in my opinion.
To explain: I have sensitive eyes and wear prescription contacts and the person I went to prior to finding this place would burn my eyes, which I thought was normal when getting lash extensions. Because of this, I was so traumatized in getting them again; however, I stepped out on a limb and tried this place and I’ve never had a single bad experience. The place is extremely sanitary, the music is super relaxing, and Nikki super accommodating.

Needed a whole new water main after the freeze we had recently. It wasn't just the leak that caused the replacement, but very old lines that were probably done in the 60s. Who knows...the house was built in 1940 and the line was rusted out. Great communication, and very professional. Scott only uses copper pipes so top quality, too. Plus his price was more than fair. It was a Saturday when my front yard hose bib broke and I ended up calling a well-known (advertises on the radio) plumbing company that was able to come out within two hours. Apart from the emergency service fee (which I was fine with) the cost to replace the bib I thought was too high and this company would not do frost free. I spent the next few weeks reaching out to a number of plumbing companies who all quoted a little less (going by the pictures I sent). And then I called Pam. We must have spent a half hour talking about the hose bib and all things plumbing. I talked to her about the other items I also needed to have looked at and she provided options. Due to the stormy weather, we kept an appointment date flexible. When we settled on a date/time her team of Robbie & Katie came when she said they would. I also agreed to have them replace the pvc parts with copper. It was a suggestion she made and personally I prefer metals over plastic. Robbie & Katie worked great as a team and I couldn’t be happier with the work. Once the bib had been replaced Robbie also looked into a low water pressure situation in one of our bathrooms. He spent more time trying to find a cause than other plumbers who had been called in specifically for that issue. Pam the Plumber is fairly priced and truly cares about doing a great job. Hopefully I won’t need her services too often in the future, but she will most certainly be my only call.

I had J & J crew at my house this week to have several trees removed and three trees lower limbs removed. I am very pleased with the results and the price I paid was very reasonable considering how difficult some of the trees weren’t easy to get to and they had to work with a very large dead tree in a small backyard. I recommend them and would use them again

We recently switched our children to Dr. Eaton's practice as it is much closer to our house than our previous pediatric dentist. I was impressed with the friendliness and efficiency of the staff and Dr. Eaton. Dr. Eaton talked me through each of my children's dental health without making me feel any mom-guilt for not personally brushing and flossing my children's teeth every night. Win! My kids were in and out in an hour, and it was easy to schedule follow-up appointments for a few cavities.

This is my 5th year at Progressive Dental Group and this is the only dental practice I want to go to. Dr. Ealy is very personable and cares about you and your overall health specifically. This flows down to her staff, which makes whatever shame / embarrassment with going to the dentist dissolve. It's so much easier to get care when you want to tell your Doctors what is *Actually* going on because you know that will fix it with care and set you on the right path.If they have long waits for appointments - it's worth it. They're so good that it's reflected by how in demand they are.I'm very, very happy with my care there and even happier that this practice is available on our side of town.

I first started care because of my sciatica and after my first visit from Dr. Herron I noticed a huge difference. He explained to me that there are many factors that could be causing my pain. I was happy to find that all of the good things said about Dr. Castanet were true. While his treatment was not able to help me, there was no promise that it would do so. He took a lot of time reviewing my imaging and history and referred me to another Doctor. Dr. Castanet is patient and very gracious with his time. He is easy to talk with and knowledgeable. If you are having a back problem, a visit to Dr. Castanet is worth your time

I am having a great experience with Dr. Kate and Dr. James! They are very in-tune with your body and take the time to understand your body's needs and not just what you have stated that is an issue. I know when I have an adjustment that I will not just have the same three things performed because they are listening to what my body is telling them! I may not hear really large cracking noises every appointment but I know when I leave a feel a difference and an improvement. I appreciate the thought and care they put into each person and their understanding of how each part of the body is connected has shown me that these doctors are different from the rest.
I highly recommend this facility as it is truly different and more positive experience than other chiropractics.

Heron's Crossing came out yesterday to help my senior kitty, Dublin, transition to his next stage. They were able to come out same day as Dublin had taken a sudden turn for the worse and we were not sure he would make it through the night. Lauren (Laura) was so incredibly kind and patient on the phone. Dr. Jo came out to the house and I couldn't have asked for a more peaceful and loving end to Dublin's 17 years on this planet. Dr. Jo is an absolute angel and gift to this world. Thank you so so much for crossing him over with dignity, honor, and love.

We’ve been taking our various pets to Church Street since 1997, and despite those long years of loyalty, we were still debating leaving in recent years. The practice has transitioned to new ownership at the perfect time. Throughout the entire appointment, I was so happy with how I and my pets were treated. Right when I came in, because I was going to need to wait to check in, I was put straight into the exam room instead of waiting in the waiting room, so I could let my cats run free and destress a little bit (in their words!). Previously, I could be waiting for 15 minutes+ in the waiting room. Next, the vet tech and vet herself were so nice and committed to making my cats comfortable. They spent time petting them and giving them treats instead of jumping straight into the exam. I didn’t feel like they were rushing to leave the room/get to the next appointment, which meant I was comfortable going over all of my questions. Despite now living ~20 minutes away from the practice, I am sticking with Church Street because of how great this experience was. My cats also loved looking out the window (and the vet knew that cats liked hopping up there, so she even raised the blinds for them)!
Doctor took care of my cat who had foreign object in his body. He offered to operate on my cat a day earlier than scheduled just so the cat doesn’t have to suffer one more day. I can’t thank the man enough.
A great place to take your babies!! The staff was very kind and knowledgeable on my kitties checkup exam. Eliana was my vet tech, and she was AWESOME. She worked with my budget to find the most important vaccines for my kitty and was extremely helpful for his first vet visit. Love this vet!!

Curly is the only person I go to for Sports Massages. He listens well, and does a great job. Unfortunately, it can be hard to book with him due to high demand. Gotta book early by at least 2 months. I love coming here!
I booked a massage at 37 weeks and was able to grab the last remaining weekend slot with Leslie. WOW. She made me feel so comfortable and relaxed throughout my massage. She started by asking me what areas of my body I wanted to focus on, and spent a good amount of time massaging those areas specifically. I asked for a decently firm massage, and she delivered the perfect firmness level. I intend to go back hopefully one last time before I deliver!
Unrelated to the massage - I had a bit of a tough time getting into the building over the weekend. The doors were locked from the inside, so I had to wait until someone noticed me to unlock the doors and let me in. I'd recommend arriving at least 15 minutes before your appointment to make sure you're all set up.
Hands down one of the best massages I’ve ever had. Kentrell is very tentative and explains what’s he’s doing especially when you have knots and honey I had a lot of them!
I had my first Esalen massage with Andy last week and it was wonderful. He was very clear in explaining the massage technique beforehand and gave me the history of Esalen massage (how and when it started) which was extremely interesting. I have heard about Esalen over the years and have always dreamed of going to the Esalen Institute Spa in Big Sur, California but have never had the opportunity so I felt so fortunate to find an Esalen trained practioner here in Atlanta! The techniques is different from other massage techniques as the strokes are long and fluid. There are gentle rocking techniques added that aid the body to relax and let itself unfold naturally, rather than being manipulated and forced to relax. This style is extremely relaxing and effective. I had muscle releases that I physically felt and going into the massage I was not even aware that I was holding tension there!Andy is very professional. His studio was very clean and comfortable as was the bathroom. His studio is located in a sweet, residential neighborhood so parking was not an issue. I highly recommend Atlanta Esalen Massage :)
