“After trying out many different MMA clubs, True Strength MMA is hand down the best one. Coach Victor and his team really care about the students and they plan their lessons very well. The Muay Thai classes are offered several times a week and what I really like about them is that the lessons are different each time, focusing on conditioning and variations of fighting techniques. I really enjoy their classes.“
“The judo classes here are incredibly accommodating for beginners and veterans alike. I joined JJT as a complete beginner to judo and felt very welcome from day 1, and the techniques I learned have been invaluable. Staff and students are friendly and helpful, the environment is safe and well-maintained, and pricing is very reasonable. Highly recommend JJT for martial arts beginners, experienced judokas, or parents just looking for something active for their kids to do.“
“Great place .. my children loved it so muchMaster Choi is so amazing . My son had problem with focusing , and he kept him in place even for first few times .“
“Our almost 8 year old Easton couldn’t be happier taking lessons at The Martial Arts Center. Shihan Mike not only is a wonderful instructor he such a great male role model. He does well with teaching our son Martial Arts and talking to the class about how to be responsible in life as well. We are very pleased.“
“I studied under Grandmaster Bai and Master Soo when they were located in maryland...and I still have fond memories of training under their masterful guidance. I was even fortunate enough to be an instructor of a youth class. If you are interested In studying the Martial arts...this is the place to go. I miss having the school here...If they were still here my son would be studying with Master Bai!Thank you for years of knowledge and friendship!(Lorin Heath and family)“
“OMG! This has changed my 12 year old grandson's life for the better. He was timid and shy. but now. He is confident. Thank you Master Pius❤“
“These guys are the best at empowerment and leaving the best in people while also helping them see the power within! If you want your child to surpass their potential this is the place to do it!!! Greatness is accomplished by pushing outside your comfort zones and expanding your horizons! This is THAT place.“
“UPDATE 7/12/23: I updated my review to remove a fee I listed in error. I found out they do not charge a renewal registration fee for existing memberships.ORIGINAL 7/7/23: My daughter has been coming here for exactly a year on 7/9/2023. I actually really like this place. The Coach and the Master instructor are REALLY GREAT with kids. (The owner is a Gemini so duhh) lol They really give you good class times for your buck. He holds a total of 4 classes during the week for TKD (Tues, Wed Thurs & Sat). That's literally 12 classes a month for the monthly price. Sometimes I am late on my payment and they works with me so I really appreciate that. My child started off as a white belt and is currently an orange belt (& she missed one belt ceremony). So if your child does the work and learns their skills they will definitely be recognized for it and advance to the next level. With that being said I have to outline the fees for any single parents struggling with balancing household expenses and your child's activities. So, you get to choose your membership options and I chose the yearly option where I pay monthly but whatever your monthly charge is slap on an extra $5 bucks as a service fee to make the payment. Also keep in mind, every belt ceremony requires a belt fee & any tournament or class event that is thrown will require a fee (which is understandable but sometimes the prices are extreme for a one parent household). I'm not complaining I'm just telling you so you can plan accordingly.Overall we really love Coach Joe and Coach Paul and we won't be going anywhere else!“
“Great school. It takes the time to teach all students and is a good community partner“
“Love love love this school! The instructors are awesome and always push to pull the best out of my son. They have definitely contributed towards my son’s growth. I feel so blessed that my son attends this school!“
“I've been training here for a year now! More consistently in the past few months. As a female college student, whatever techniques taught here are really useful in a real situation. I love it the fact that it's still rooted in traditional shotokan karate, but we also explore other martial arts' techniques and adopt what work in a real fight. Sensei Chapman constantly pushes his students to the limit, but hey no pain, no gain. I feel like this is my true family in Karate! OOSSUUU“
“This is the real deal. The lead instructor teaches swat and special forces units. They are serious about technique and applying it to real world situations. They meet you at your level and break down the skills to make it accessible for anyone. Women, I highly recommend this as the best self defense training.“
“Master Bill really takes the time to work with me. Someone who has no experience. Definitely didn't feel embarrassed like I thought I would. Made me feel comfortable.“
“There are many programs these days, offering grappling and striking. Yet, rare are the coaches that have competed at the “top” of the mountain. This gym has coaches and fighters that have and continue to fight across the globe, collecting world championship belts across disciplines. Coach Richard, in particular, is one of the most accomplished coaches one can find on US soil. He achieved great things as a pro boxer, pro kickboxer and Judoka. If you are interested in the fight sport, and are in the Atlanta Metro… this is the place to be.“
“I was in town for few days and attending the BJJ class was an incredible experience, thanks to Coach Jeff. His expertise, patience, and passion for teaching made every session both challenging and enjoyable. Jeff's ability to break down complex techniques and his dedication to each student's progress truly sets him apart as a great instructor. His positive energy and encouragement create a welcoming environment that inspires everyone to do their best.“
“I’ve been doing the jujitsu classes and started with knowing nothing. It’s been a great environment to learn in and the other students are always very patient and respectful. Sifu Kevin is a great teacher and somehow makes jujitsu class fun to attend.I’ve learned a great deal of knowledge from my short time here. I’m going to keep coming back.“
“Alex is an amazing training and makes working out fun! Great place to workout and train!“
“One of the prettiest dojo’s in the country, extremely welcoming atmosphere, and just a great place to train!!“
“Kwangjang Nim Sullivan is one of the most dedicated martial artists I’ve met in 32 years of martial arts training! Honored to have trained with him at his school! It’s top tier bar none.“
“Great and caring teachers, friendly environment and hands down one of the best Taekwondo club nationwide.“
“To say that the Dojo is a great place to train in Karate is a vast understatement: it is a life altering experience. My children go there and not only are they receiving top notch martial arts training, but they are trained to be the best people they can be. After my older child trained here for a year, I decided to join too, and I strongly regret not joining earlier. I'm learning a new sport, surrounded by a community of wonderful and supportive people, learning a new language, and learning new philosophies. I also feel the best I've felt in years: I've literally had a doctor prescribe more Karate for me. I have nothing but respect and feelings of joy towards the Dojo and all the staff there.“
“I attend the location in Decatur and I love how I feel during and after class. I highly recommend signing up. Great mental and physical workout, which was just what I needed.“
“If you're looking for a real martial arts training this is the place to go muay thai beautiful and he'll train you well and train you hard you be ready to do damage“
“This is a great place to come train. Fun self defence, krav, Mui Tai, and grapling. Coach Josh has a great kid class 2 times a week. I get to do Krav and Spar while kids train.“
