. My husband has partial hearing so I always attend his medical and dental appointments in order to determine the actions and cost of the services he has requested. I was received with hostility and told that it was not customary for them to allow anyone else to be present when they were conducting an interview with the patient. I will admit that his partials turned out really well, however, i had just taken him to another dentist where he had received gum, disease, treatment, and a good cleaning. I explained to her that he had just had his cleaning, but she refused to accept him as a patient unless the cleaning was performed. They are very firm on making sure that they give services you do not ask for. Obviously they are doing very well and they don't need to be concerned about a few complaining, patients.

I've been going to this dental practice for 10 years out of convenience since it's very close to my job. It's an average dental experience. However, an annoying aspect is appointments always run behind. There is high turnover with dentists, hygienists, and other staff. The employees don't seem super happy. I've not had any rude encounters that others have shared in their experiences. But it just seems people are there for their check and don't enjoy it. The one dental assistant (Elaine) I like has been there for many years. She's hard to get an appt with. Plus, she runs very behind. She seems very stressed out and doesn't have help oftentimes. However, she is so patient, funny, and very through with her exams. A few times I had another hygienist and they aren't even as close in their attention to detail. Very superficial exam and cleaning. The clinic doesn't have a lot of options for appts if you need to switch if something arises. I try to lock in my two appts per year and let them be because then you're pushed out for many months if you need to change. I also don't like how the hygienist pushes the beaded antibiotics in my gum line if there is a small space. I decline them most times and even the dentist has told her I don't need them. You need to make your appt for early in the morning or later in the afternoon to avoid a longer wait time.

The hygienists are great, super nice. However it is the office policy that they can change the amount the patient owes AFTER the procedure is through and there is nothing you can do but pay or go to collections. They cover themselves with a fine print that says the patient agrees to any pay the balance no matter what. So the estimate that they run can change after you have absolutely no recourse available. In my case my estimate was $377, the day of the office lady said oh I can take off $80 as they coded it incorrectly. I paid $307, got home and had a message saying she was wrong and was adding that $80 back to my account. (Numbers are correct - math in this office makes no sense) however when the statement got to my house it was for $250. After several emails back & forth the billing office stopped responding and sent me a letter threatening collections. I then called and spoke directly with the office manager who stated she had done a full account audit and it was not $80 or $250 I owed, but $180. When I protested (fully admit I lost my cool and was not nice on the phone - which I apologized for) she told me in a nutshell it was too bad - the paperwork states in the fine print that the cost can change and I am responsible for the balance. Period.Save yourself from this deceitful practice!! The same office did the same thing to my friend's mother. This is not an isolated mistake or case of insurance issues. For years I have had no issue with the estimate matching the final costs - until the business was recently sold. Now with new management there are issues. So now my deep cleaning is done now - I can't do anything but pay the balance and let everyone know what you're getting into. For the record I had a 4 quadrant deep cleaning. My estimate was $377 - final total paid $487 after an audit removed $70 for an unknown reason.
