I called and they were able to come out on the same day. The tech quickly diagnosed the issue and got it back up working well. I had to pay an amount that was slightly over the diagnostic fee but it was totally worth it. Quality is worth paying for. I'm thankful to now have a good company to call on when I have plumbing issues.
I called Lawson's because no heat at all was coming out of a floor vent in our back room. They sent out Donald Stephens, a very competent technician and a nice person. I removed the vent and both of us immediately saw the problem: the ductwork was pulled loose from the vent base and daylight was shining on it from under the house. When I had previously checked on my own, I must have done so at night when it was dark under the house. Donald immediately got zip ties and screws from his truck, crawled under the house and tied the duct back to the vent base, then drilled in 6 screws around the duct and base to secure them together.
