“Our large Labradoole mix has been going to Dr. Ewert at South Gate since we adopted her as a puppy. My husband & I adored this dog. Fortunately, she was healthy most of her life & saw her vet for routine check ups, heartworm prevention & shots. As she aged, she had arthritis, an occasional urinary tract infection or ear infecton. Each time we took her in for a problem, Dr. Ewert explained in detail the infection, how to avoid another, and gave directions for the medication we took home. Once, he drew a diagram of a dog's ear for me to completely understand her infection. He was always spot on with diagnosis & provided me with the Rx & treatment my dog needed. Sadly, last week, Dr. Ewert and his vet tech, Jessica, had to put down our 12 yr old beloved girl. She was beginning to suffer from cancers Dr. Ewert discovered several months ago and we couldn't treat. The kindness, compassion & support this vet and his assistant gave to my dog and me on one of the hardest days of my life, were incredible. I will be forever grateful. I never felt my dog & I were just another patient and owner. Dr. Ewert and Jessica treated us with loving care. South Gate is not just a business where these two special people earn a living. “In the midst of the pandemic in early 2021, we decided to move from New York City to Southwest Florida with our two senior cats; Pepper 20 and Misty 16 years old. They were lucky living long enough to retire with us in the paradise! However, for the past 3 months, Pepper got sick and we had to find veterinarian clinics. After many phone calls to various veterinarians in Estero, many don't accept her (may be because she was too old). But there's only one place that was willing to see her in spite of fully booked and it was San Carlos Park Animal hospital. It was like a godsend to us! Pepper's health declined quickly. I was prepared if she could not be treated back to a normal health because of her old age. All I wanted to give her was the best care possible and the rest is up to God. And thanks God we found the most loving and compassionate care of my cat from the staffs here at San Carlos Park Animal hospital. Dr. Skov examined her thoroughly and patiently answered all our questions with Logan the assistant Tech. who was so pleasant and enthusiastic about doing his job including following up calls. On the following up visit, we met Dr. Steely and Dee Dee, the tech. was so kind and very interpersonal we felt like a part of a family. On the morning after Mother's day, my dear Pepper passed away peacefully in her bed. With the help and support of all the staff at San Carlos Park Animal hospital, we were able to get through the grief and coping with the loss of our beloved pet. They made all arrangement and we picked up her ash a week later. Now she's home. From this wonderful experience we know that this is the right veterinarian for our beloved pet and we can trust Dr. Skov, Dr. Steely and all the staffs so we decided to bring our remaining cat Misty for a general check up and establish a record of health. We are so happy to find the best animal hospital closer to home with a very affordable cost for retirees folks like us! “Absolute experts in anything to do with the eyes. They are the best of the best. If you have any issues with your pet’s eyes – this is the place to go. We are so fortunate to have been recommended by our vet to take our dog Beau Duke here. If we had gone anywhere else – I know he would have lost his eye. Our dog had a scratched cornea with a vicious bacterial infection that was melting his corneal – time was of the essence (eye loss within 24-48 hrs.) and if we had taken him anywhere else – due to the nature of this situation he would have lost the eye. We saw Dr. Seyer and she was AMAZING in every way. Everything you could hope for in a Doctor and more. She is so knowledgeable, compassionate and just a great person and Doctor. She saved Beau’s eye – and really gave us wise counsel on how to treat this. She had a strong protocol for us to follow and we were fortunate to corner the bacteria/infection – and to save his eye. No rupture, no surgery in his case and he has some vision restored in this eye – it’s still going through a healing process because of the depth of the injury but he’s “healed!!” And he has his eye! It’s been quite a journey but we are externally grateful to Dr. Seyer and her wonderful team (especially Lauren and everyone else at the Animal Eye Guys!) So a heartfelt Thank you to Dr. Seyer! We love you guys and highly recommend to anyone with a pet with any eye issues. This is the place to go.“
“I was visiting Ft Myers from out of town and had planned to remove some stitches from my dog Lucy while I was in town (she had a minor procedure and several sutures in place that needed to come out). Unfortunately she didn’t agree with my plan and was adamant that she would NOT let me remove them as I had planned.The wonderful team at Daniels Parkway Animal Hospital helped to get Lucy in the same day that I called, removed all of her stitches in under five minutes (with not so much as a yelp!), and sent me on my way without asking for anything in return. Their generosity and assistance was incredibly helpful and much appreciated. Highly recommend!“

“Excellent experience here with my two dogs Gracie and Sasha, getting their teeth cleaned. They were friendly, knowledgeable and kind. My dogs were greeted properly and pet, and visited with before they went off to have their teeth cleaned. I was so happy to have someone clean their teeth so well without having to put them under anesthesia. Amazing prices as well here. Also, their teeth are being cleaned by someone who knows what she is doing, and she actually assists vets in the area for dental cleanings as well, so your dogs will be in good hands.Sasha even enjoyed her time in the waiting room and hopped up in the chair while she was waiting for her turn (while Gracie was getting her teeth cleaned!) Both Sasha and Gracie left with white teeth and wagging tails! I will definitely be bringing them back here. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!“
