I understand Dr. Auchiche's decision to move to John Hopkins, but (1) will miss him and the way West Coast was run and (2) not happy with the way the change happened. I personally have issues with the fact that any good Dr. (of any type of practice) has to go on television to blow their own horn, (ie., Quigley and/or Frantz) and you never see him, you only see a Corporation Dr.!This was the reason when I first moved to Florida and was recommended to the Dr. Frantz group that I left them, after a few visits there and never once seeing him I changed to Dr. Auchiche. My first visit was with him, we went over all my past issues and he actually acted as if he cared about me and his patients. So like I said, yesterday went well, and I will keep an open mind for now.“

“I went to Florida Optical to be fitted for Rigid Gas Permeable contact lens. I previously have had Lasik and cataract surgery on both eyes, thus knew I would be very difficult to fit. I had previously been told by another eye doctor that I would be too difficult to fit and he would not even attempt to do it....said to wear soft lens. Dan Acosta, Florida Optical, worked with me for 3-1/2 months to get it perfect. He was extremely patient, explained everything he did along the way, and was always encouraging. I love my new RGP lens, and am so appreciative for the time and effort Dan put forth to make this happen. I would not hesitate to recommend him highly. As an after note: on 2 separate occasions while I was there, there were 2 different people that walked in with a minor problem, and he fixed their frames while they waited, and told them no charge. Who in the world does that anymore in today's times?? This is a good guy!“

She was extremely thorough and explained each procedure and step using the latest technology. Because my eyes were adjusting, I had to return to her for a different prescription.
