“First Dr. Wendland was the only veterinarian that picked up my dog’s heart murmur when she was 2 yo. But i never thought much about it until my dog started collapsing on the slightest exertion. Given the gravity of her condition, i called the UofF Veterinary Hospital but they said it would be 4 months before she could be seen so i took her back to Dr. Wendland who immediately took X-rays explaining the X-rays to me and comparing the X-rays to when she was 2 nothing looked concerning. So then Shelton’s did an EKG and the problem was clear. They also sent her blood work off to a lab. Dr. Wendland next recommended a cardiologist and assisted with getting an appointment for my dog. All this was done in one appointment. Dr. Wendland was professional, efficient, and caring. Yes it’s expensive but at least we got answers and a way to move forward. I also highly recommend the staff, many have been there a long time.“

“Going to the Shelton clinic is like stepping back in time! The vintage building sets the scene but it's the genuine, caring people there who really seal the deal! Everyone I encountered was kind, courteous and very concerned for the rescue dog I brought in, who had two different types of gut worms and was very emaciated. Just two days after our visit and starting the meds, you can tell Lily feels much better already!“

“I had an emergency over the weekend and brought my dog to a different animal hospital but was given medicine that was not the best remedy. Shores was able to quickly assess my dog and change the regimen to better fit his needs. We are very happy with this place and only wish it was open every day!“

The techs were all fantastic, and Dr. Jones took time and was concerned for our girl. If we lived in the area (we travel full-time) we would absolutely bring all of our animals here!“

“I would give them more stars if I could. My cat wasn’t in a life or death situation but more of an extreme dental pain and I took her in around 10pm one night. All the staff was so caring and kind to everyone there. The vet that saw my kitty was so kind and gentle. I wish I remembered her name but she was great. They even called a couple days after to check on her which I thought was very thoughtful. Would definitely recommend.“

“We had called about our 15 year old Collie mix needing end of life service. they were very understanding and even on short notice,made arrangements to come to our home.Dr.John was sick as a dog,pardon the pun ,but still show great respect for Codi and us at our time of great sorrow.
