“This gym is truly great. I am in town for work periodically and they welcome me immediately like I have been there for years. Stephen Plyler, the head instructor, is a gifted teacher and he is so attentive to his students. It’s clear that he’s vested and cares a great deal for everyone in class - even a guest like me. He trains with me regularly and has pulled me aside to work with me on my technique. His knowledge, movement and technique are exceptional. I travel to a lot of gyms and this is one of my favorites. BJJ aside, the culture and community he has cultivated is outstanding.“

I appreciate the instructors teaching not only martial arts, but also work ethic, mental focus, attention to detail, and respect for instructors and students. It's great that for older kids and adults, there is an opportunity to branch out to other disciplines such as BJJ and Muay Thai; something I may take them up on myself.“

“I am associated with Aikido since 27 years and trained with different school of Aikido. But being associated with Shihan Okimura and ADA family since10 years is an experience beyond words. This school or Shihan's style of aikido is to compliment our earthly existence. Unlike any other Dojo you will not be exhausted physically but yes the impression these classes conducted by Soofie Sensei and Shihan would make you think for months or years for that matter. Perhaps this is the effect of sooo profound teaching or imparting the true essence of "The Art of Aikido" which Shihan and Sensei does pretty well.My request to each reader of this review is to be part of this Dojo at least once. You may enter this place with all your worries but may come out of no worries. This experience must be experienced. Words are not enough to describe this feeling. Teaching A Martial Art with Humor and such kindness, personal care this is UNIQUE.“

“I was a student here a few years ago. Excellent instruction, affordable prices, good schedule. Very informative martial arts instruction. I was a Deputy Sheriff just over the line in Maryland when I went here. I was able to use what I learned on a regular basis to keep myaelf safe and to stop violent criminals. My understanding is that the school now has a larger studio space and is offering even more classes. Highly recommend them. If I hadn't moved away, I would still be a regular student here.“
