He is polite, professional, respectful, but still very friendly and personable. My 86 year old husband hates exercise and rehab but Sebastian managed to always encourage him perfectly and got my husband to comply. Not an easy feat!! He has a great demeanor and was always flexible with his schedule to accommodate ours. Recommend without hesitation.“

Turning 96 in June 2024, I have had excellent health but experienced a number of minor injuries conducive to using physical therapy. So I had had previous experience with this kind of treatment. The time I spent at Star was the best.
To begin with, the facility is pleasant, with large windows, and very well laid out so that three or four therapists can work freely with patients with different levels of need. The atmosphere is welcoming and exudes a sense of community, working together to produce comfort and high performance. Sam Dozier, receptionist and Therapist Aide, greets people warmly, tirelessly arranges schedules to suit your convenience, and throughout your time there offers compassionate support.
I worked alternately with Kyra Corradin and Aysha Ehsan. To sum up, I found them to be kind, caring, and focused. They are professionals with a special understanding of the power of movement to refresh and restore. Although work in the sessions is directed to particular areas of the body, the target is the whole person, not just a sore neck or knee. Kyra and Aysha began each session by asking how I was feeling that day with an interest not only in physical issues, but also in my spirits and general outlook. Their goal was to make me feel better through movement specifically directed to areas needing attention. If I indicated pain in a particular area, they would begin by massaging that spot, literally demonstrating the common expression, “I can feel your pain.”
I always did feel better after my sessions. However, both therapists strongly emphasized the importance of taking personal responsibility for learning and doing prescribed exercises at home. I thought they were great teachers, very good practitioners of their trade, and good at motivating me to carry on the lessons ourselves.“

4001 Brandywine St NW #301, Washington“I came to Phoenix Rehab after doing years of physical therapy elsewhere. I am a particularly complex case due to a genetic disease I have. I am especially weak and deconditioned. Previous PT providers have not taken into consideration how weak I am and push me beyond my capacity to perform. I decided to call in advance and ask the manager if he felt he could work with me given the problems I have had. He called me back the same day after the clinic was closed and spent at least 20 minutes listening and talking to me. He assured me he could adapt their normal work for me. I had my appointments with the Manager of both locations, Chris. He has progressed me very slowly and in three months, I never been hurt. Our appointments address several regions of my body and I am delighted to report that I have improved in my time there. It is not unusual to see him give instructions to one person while checking on another. He's a hands-on manager and it seems the place runs smoothly. He has hired two new physical therapists and he described that he would mentor them as necessary. I'm so glad that I found Phoenix Rehab. Excellent place in every way“

I reached out to Jon via Yelp and he was quick to respond and support in setting up an initial appointment. After working with Jon and the team for the past couple of years, I could not recommend CNMR more strongly! The practice is extremely well-run and the staff are kind and accommodating. Jon is a phenomenal practitioner and has worked to craft an adaptive treatment plan with me throughout our time together. I really appreciate his ability to articulate the underlying causes of pain/injury and have gained a ton of insight and knowledge I will carry with me.“

I had been suffering with shoulder, neck, and back pain for years and every time I saw her she alleviated it more and more.“

“Tony Touma at CORE is fantastic. He's done more for rehabbing my knee in a few weeks after replacement surgery than Phoenix people did in six months. That's because he spends all his time manipulating my knee and figuring out how my body mechanics are not working a year after surgery. He then gives me the proper exercises to do at home to rebuild my knee strength and flexibility where it is off kilter. Phoenix in Tenleytown just had me doing exercises for the whole 45 minutes I was there and did almost no body manipulation. It was in and out for everyone with little hands on work, especially work that would identify what was wrong. I can't say enough about Tony Touma and CORE.“

I felt like I was being taken cared of by family. And a bonus was that 2 of the DPTs were Howard University graduates. YouKnow!!“
“Michelle helped me recover from a chronic shoulder pain - it's not only about the treatment per se during the sessions, but also her holistic approach and advice that enables you to make shifts in your daily routine with a longterm positive impact on your health. Thank you Michelle!“
“I saw Dr Benz in the Spring of 2024 and she changed my life. Not only did she take the time to listen to me, but she really made it a point to help me find solutions to my pain.
I came to her for knee pain, but uncovered my knee pain was a symptom of poor muscle engagement. Dr Benz put the therapy into Physical Therapy by actively listening to how I made it to this point and debunked all of the crazy internet ideas that Google gave me. Having someone who believes the pain and the other issues I had is highly unusual for any doctor. I appreciated not fighting to prove my symptoms, but rather have a partner who was invested in getting to the bottom of the root cause.
She also really puts the physical into PT. Firstly, she helped release some incredibly tight muscles! Despite going to a massage therapist for years, her efforts in the few weeks I was there were more impactful. Plus, it is clear from the exercises she gave me that she is an expert on how the body works. Together the passive and active work is the true reason my pain went from a 10 to a 3 today. (Plus, my continued verve to do the exercises she recommended)
Having a PT who cares is unusual for me. But after visiting Dr Benz for a few weeks, I am an entirely different person! My quality of life greatly approved since seeing her, I feel confident I can continue the work on my own, and that I have the building blocks to grow old gracefully. Thank you Dr Benz!“

1100 17th St NW b12, Washington“Ciara is just an all around delightful person, who is so knowledgeable in all things both pelvic health and also traditional orthopedic PT. I’ve began working with her during my pregnancy- I’ve always been active and a runner, but found that during pregnancy, I needed some help feeling strong and learning how to move. I’ve loved her energy- it’s like hanging out with a friend, who is also super knowledgeable and funny. After i returned to running, I took a fall and sprained my ankle and reached out for some rehab. Ciara will travel to your home, which if you have kids or a demanding job, is so clutch. She tailors your treatment not just to your injury but to what you love- we weren’t just focused on getting my ankle to not hurt, but getting strong to get back to running. I’d highly recommend her for anything PT related- she’s also an expert on pelvic health issues and makes it just feel so comfortable and safe to discus anything- nothing is off limits and it’s like chatting with a friend (well, she is a friend now!). I can’t say enough good things about her- make sure you reach out with any needs, be it during pregnancy, after, or for just any regular injuries too.“

“I've been coming here for several weeks to address a sports-related injury. The staff are very cordial and professional. They've given me my initial set of exercises and have progressively changed them as the impacted area continues to heal and improve. I would recommend them for anyone's physical therapy needs.“
“TJ is an exceptional physical therapist who accurately diagnosed my shoulder condition and developed a targeted treatment program that helped me avoid surgery. His expertise and thorough approach not only eliminated my shoulder pain but also gave me the tools to maintain my progress through a well-designed maintenance routine. TJ's dedication to helping patients achieve their goals makes him stand out in his field.“
