“My experience was great here! I booked an appointment online for the same day and was able to be seen immediately. The environment is such a great space (vinyl records, music playing overhead, homey decorations) and the doctor that I saw was patient and answered all my questions.“

“Very grateful for this service to the community! Makes it easy to get tested together with a new partner for ease of mind :)Communication was a bit lacking, not in a way that was a mega problem for me. We weren't told how long the wait would be, but I think we were seen maybe 30 minutes after getting there? And I was given a rapid finger prick test for HIV that gave results right away. But afterward I peed in a cup, got a mouth swab, and had blood drawn, and I wasn't told what all those were for. I'm assuming it was gonorrhea and chlamydia, but usually it's either urine or blood draw not both? But I'm not mad at it! I appreciate how thorough they are :)Results come in through the Healthvana portal, which is appreciated. I know some places will just call only if results are positive, and don't reach out at all if negative. So having it in a portal is just another layer of peace of mind :)“

“Considering they’ve taken the profit motive away and attempt to pay their staff a living wage ya gotta give this to them.I’ve been coming here for years (over 10 to be exact) and I’ve dealt with the good and the not so good. Things are at an all time high, they weathered the pandemic (and still provided prescriptions) and continue to serve an underserved community. Their initial stake was for HIV positive patients, however they serve all communities including folks like me on MedicaidThank you AHF for your place in the communitu“

The wait was not long,before I,did not trust IR services because of being treated poorly at WHC IR but I gave Georgetown University hospital IR a try and they where wonderful. Note that to see such a specialist and/or to get any type of neuro test, you will need a referral from your primary doc. Front staff was efficient, and getting checked in was a smooth process. My test itself was uncomfortable and extremely painful (which can vary on an individual), but I was able to walk away with two diagnoses. I saw Dr. Richardson, and he was informative, explained the results clearly, and provided a plan, moving forward. The entrance is at 22 and I. There's a garage and metered street parking. “Sometimes (many times), it is hard to find amazing doctors and professional staff. Integrated Dermatology of 19th St -- not to be confused with Integrated Dermatology of K St (easily confused) --is such a place. I had a post-surgical wound on my back that wouldn't heal, and I could not reach it (and did not want to ask friends to change very messy bandages). Several times each week for a period of over 8 weeks, I arrived at their 19th Street office. I was always welcomed with a warm reception, remarkable caring professional hands, palpable sensitivity to me and my situation and no waiting time. I just wanted to say thank-you to Drs. S and D and Chris and Reid. While no one wants a wound that defies healing fast, everyone should be as fortunate as I was to be a patient under the collective and respective care of you all. Since I never write reviews, I hope this one communicates the quality of the care I received and still receive.“
