Imani is amazing. She worked with me to find the perfect hair color. She also did an amazing job on my shake and shingle cut. I've continued to receive compliments on my hair. And my hair routine is so easy.Imani is the best hairdresser I've ever encountered.

I searched and searched for a salon that was black owned, that specializes in color, natural hair, using quality products and advocates for natural hair. It took awhile to get an appointment, but it was well worth the wait! I had years of black box color in my hair, and was apprehensive about coloring for fear of damaging my hair and losing my curl pattern that took me years to obtain. Because of the box color, I wasn't sure how light my hair would even get, but I trusted Jamal's creativity and expertise. Never disappointed when I come to Lamaj in the City and Jamal does my hair. Doesn't matter if I'm doing short or growing it out Jamal always makes it look great and if you are looking for a colorist this is where you need to be.
