They also never made me feel bad or uncomfortable when I didn't want to splurge on something (2) we hired Lisa and Leroy for interior design, but also ended up loving how they planned the functionality of the space. swivel chairs between the living space and the kitchen. a fizzy water faucet. wonderfully designed cabinet spaces. more windows and light. etc. (3) execution - every week we received detailed emails from Katie letting us know what would be happening and when - re: construction. everything moved along so well and we never felt "in the dark" regarding progress on a large renovation (4) the overall space is unique and original, just like I wanted. it's both incredibly functional in serving the needs of our family and incredibly beautiful. Mr. Carter liberated our senses and showed us how to keep our antique collections and make them new again through curating. It is impossible to talk about design and the last 15 years of style evolution with out discussing his body of work. Mr. Cater is a national treasure and DC is very-very lucky to have him. Why has he not been apart of the White House redesign yet? Big mystery to me.“
