First of all, they were at the absolute top end of our price range (which made me a little nervous), but I really wanted a super colorful space and I couldn't find another designer who had such a great portfolio with eclectic colorful spaces. And, yes, they delivered on color, but they also delivered on SO MUCH MORE.<br><br>Four great things about working with Lisa and Leroy (1) Budget - yes, they are expensive, but they were great at working within our budget range and never going over. They also never made me feel bad or uncomfortable when I didn't want to splurge on something (2) we hired Lisa and Leroy for interior design, but also ended up loving how they planned the functionality of the space. swivel chairs between the living space and the kitchen. a fizzy water faucet. wonderfully designed cabinet spaces. more windows and light. etc. (3) execution - every week we received detailed emails from Katie letting us know what would be happening and when - re: construction. everything moved along so well and we never felt "in the dark" regarding progress on a large renovation (4) the overall space is unique and original, just like I wanted. it's both incredibly functional in serving the needs of our family and incredibly beautiful. “I recently completed a full renovation of my row house with Fairmont Developers, and I couldn't be happier with the results. “Quality, schedule, and price: pick two,” is the classic saying. Instead our project was completed ahead of schedule, just under budget, and the quality of the work was excellent. And that includes an expanded project scope that came up when we discovered large issues with a neighboring property.Fairmont was incredibly flexible and easy to work with. They were always willing to listen to our ideas and make changes as needed. They were also very responsive to my questions and concerns.Fairmont’s foreman or a partner subcontractor was on-site on average more than five days a week for the entire many-month project. This allowed them to keep a close eye on the work and make sure that everything was done to the highest standards, and if not the first time, they made sure it was redone. Unlike several neighboring projects, we had no stop work orders, no neighbor complaints (complements actually), and all our inspections were successful.I would highly recommend Fairmont to anyone looking for a home builder or doing a major urban renovation. “A friend referred me to Hammer (Greg). This friend did a whole house remodel with Hammer and was pleased beyond expectations. They found Hammer after they parted ways with the previous Design/build firm who was doing a poor job. Their house turned out amazingly and it has been in at least one interior design magazine. I was interested in getting Hammer to weigh in on some interior changes to a house we were considering buying. Greg was very upfront in that Hammer is not licensed in Virginia. After that he not only recommended other firms but he spent 40 minutes on the call with me to educate me, give me pointers on what to ask/ascertain.
