“Teachers are kind and the activity is engaging. Sensei's make all the things that we do and entertaining and fun it's good for kids of all age and you feel welcome the minute you walk in! I love it here highly recommend it!“
“Great environment, great teachers, great mentors, if you want a fun and competitive place to learn & train then Tiger Schulmann’s is your school. Don’t hesitate and call them for your trial class, you won’t regret it!“
“Master Jeong and Master Jo are very professional; they not only teach kids taekwondo but also help build their characters, fostering qualities like confidence, respect for each other, and self-control. Because the little one loves learning taekwondo, somehow his brother is also influenced by him. They are both learning taekwondo and sharing what they have learned after school. :)“
“I highly recommend this school. Learn life, and social skills from best master, Master Jang!!!!“
“We attended a trial via referral for our 6 year old. Sensei Palardy and Boyd are phenomenal with the children. It is intimating to find a place with patient and compassionate teachers. Little ones will be little ones. In just 4 classes, our little guy made tremendous progress, and enjoys the class. They find a nice balance between fun, discipline, and learning. They are also very fair and flexible with the pricing and onboarding. Very happy with the program and highly recommended.“
“Wonderful Dojang with great instructors. Great place to learn brotherhood and sisterhood of Korean based martial arts?“
“Wing Tsun is the best martial art, with every movement based on pure biomechanics. The instructor explains methods in a highly constructive manner.“
“Sifu Steve is an excellent instructor and has a superb grasp on a wide variety of martial arts. I highly recommend his school if you want to learn some very practical and useful self defense skills.“
“Been taking my brothers here for about two years. They were acting up before but since coming here they've calmed down a bit. They know not to use what they learn in starting fights and only use it for self defense.Everyone who teaches here is very welcoming and encouraging.Don't think twice about signing up your younger relatives for classes. Especially since the schools don't do anything when they're getting picked on in school. And are only there when your sibiling/child finally defends themselves.“
“Eric trained my daughter and man is he great! Highly recommend for anyone who's interested in Krav!“
“Great place, great environment, training is fantastic and the instructors are great and very knowledgeable. Also a very clean facility.“
“Stop by over the weekend to scout for an activity for our kid. Got to talking with Master Manny. Nice guy. I never had anything handed to me in this life, when you are down the haters will kick you, but when you are up they stop kicking you because it hurts their legs. Lessons like this can make our kids tougher in the world and this dojo is good for that. We have not signed up yet but strongly considering it in the near future when our finically and money plans become in line.“
“Fantastic program my son loves every class and has vowed to get his black belt! It is his favorite activity“
“After having our son enrolled at 2 other karate studios in 2017 and finding that neither were a good longterm fit, we found our way to SDSS. The other studios just didn't feel right. We were looking for a facility where we could see our family for years to come. Our (now) 5 year old son is obsessed with martial arts, and the other studios were lacking structure, community, and that perfect balance of both positivity and discipline. Mr. Alex (the main instructor) has a solid curriculum. The kids have fun, get a great workout, and learn about respect and focus. He does a great job at reminding the younger students to raise their hands before speaking, not interrupting others, and using their patience. Nearly everything Alex focuses on in the studio bleeds into how one needs to act within a community (general sense, school, etc.), and even within a family unit. While in martial arts your main focus is yourself, and working on your own personal best, Alex also touches on the importance teamwork with the kids. We also love how enrollment includes in just the group classes, but a weekly semi-private class as well. Our son has been enrolled at SDSS for nearly a year now, and I see no end in sight. In fact I've enrolled myself in the adult program. We're at the studio 4-5 per week. It's practically our 2nd home. SDSS in Westport is hands down the best martial arts studio in the area. We're really thankful for the sense of community that Alex has fostered at the studio, and the activities he has organized outside of class. (Summer water fight at the beach, camps, and even free parties.) Bonus: It's across the street from both Starbucks and Barnes & Noble. Great places to kill time on days when you need a little break while your kid is in class.“
“The teachers are 5th and 4th degree blackbelts – most dojos are lucky to have a 1st or 2nd degree. The classes are small, and the teachers provide a lot of positive and helpful feedback. My teenage daughters took classes here for many years and had a ton of fun. I highly recommend Aikido of Norwalk.“
“Kenny is an unbelievable instructor. He does such a great job working with the students. This place feels like a real DoJo with principles and a curriculum not just another activity to let the kids run around.“
