Needed a solution, and fast, before my house became a squirrel playground. Called Organic Enlightenment on a whim, and let me tell you, they were lifesavers. These guys came right over, assessed the situation, and did some strategic trimming. Turns out, all it took was removing those specific branches to cut off the squirrel's superhighway.They even explained why extensive trimming wouldn't be the best idea for the tree's health (who knew trees needed sunlight and stuff?). “Steve and his crew were very prompt and professional! I had to have 2 very large oaks taken down after being damaged during the small tornado came through CT last month. Steve did exactly what he said he would do, and showed up right on time. Luckily, my neighbor agreed to allow the crane and bucket truck through his yard. I am still amazed at how quick they were able to take down the 2 trees (both over 125 feet tall) and how little damage there was to the grass/backyard of my neighbor. “We've used Shutts twice this year, and highly recommend them! We had a birch snap in two after a tornado and dangle over the power line to our house. Annie's team came quickly so that we never lost power. Last month they removed an aging oak from our backyard - one that could not be reached by crane or bucket truck. They were true professionals, climbing the tree, gently bring down all the branches and trunk, and our flagstone patio looked better after they left because not only did they remove all branches, limbs, and trunk, they also swept or blew away the leaves and sawdust. Their prices are fair, and Annie (the arborist who provides estimates for the work) consults with her team to make sure the estimates are accurate. “We found a flyer in the mailbox last week for tree service/removal and decided to give them a call to get an estimate. Front office (Jeanette) was polite, pleasant, professional, and efficient and scheduled Alex to come out to provide an estimate. He showed up exactly on time and gave us a competitive quote to remove our VERY large and VERY tall pines (as well as an oak) in our fully landscaped yard located in a what was once a thick pine forest. We accepted the quote/contract which was emailed the same day and we scheduled the job. Now one week later it's all done. Needless to say there was quite a bit of finesse required to get over our lawn and past the house and into the back yard, working around all the garden beds as well as a shed. Rather than bring large trucks over our lawn and irrigation system, they placed mats to protect the lawn, climbed to remove these trees (it was very entertaining to watch!), and took out all of the logs and branches with a smaller machine. This was a very big job with a large crew, they showed up exactly on time and worked hard all day (more than 10 hours!) to get everything done, chipped/ground, cleaned up, and carted away. ALL of the workers were very nice, professional and respectful of us and of our property. We're very pleased with this company and would not hesitate to recommend them and/or use them in the future.“

“multi year history of an unruly city tree in the front of our property. Was given Johns(the owner) number from one of his arborist colleagues in the wallingford community. John was able to come out the NEXT day to evaluate the tree and make a professionals recommendation to the city. within two days the city came out with a sign for notice of removal. This is after 5 years of making calls about this tree on our own behalf with the city to no fruition. Unparalleled high quality communication. They did an amazing job! They even came back the next day to fill in some tire ruts and re-seed! Highly recommend.“

“I've had some issues with billing and application.Billing: I discovered It's better to pay for the service when each phase is completed rather than pay in advance.Application: I signed up for shrub maintenance. I've noticed that I've had both a rose black spot problem and white fly problem soon after they were sprayed. This is after I specifically asked that attention be paid to my roses.The pruning they did was excellent.“
