“Incredible place, very clean, the instructors are the best of the best. If you want the most authentic brazilian jiu jitsu this is the place to go!“
“Amazing Taekwondo Master KJ. His students have won gold medals in State, Regional, and National competitions. My daughter makes great friends also.“
“We started our son at World Champion Taekwondo a few months ago and we couldn’t be happier. They do such a great job keeping the kids engaged as they teach taekwondo, discipline, respect, sportsmanship, and confidence. It’s also a great place to have a birthday party!“
“I took my Brownie troop to do a self-defense class here and Juan and his wife did a fantastic job giving the girls a basic knowledge of how to defend themselves in a bad situation. The girls were 8 and 9 and 1 month later, they are still talking about how much fun it was. Personally, as a mom, this is a hard topic to teach a child, but I also know how important it is and I am very happy my daughter was taught how to defend herself if she ever is in a situation that requires it.“
“I absolutely love this place! I signed my grandson up for lessons about two weeks ago and his progression has been amazing. We tried all types of sports activities and he just did not like it, but since we signed him up for lessons he is so excited to go to his lessons. It is a family run business and I love how they interact with the youth and more experienced members. Each Sensei has a particular way they instruct but they communicate well. My grandson who just enjoyed playing video games now looks forward to going to his sessions. The instructors (Sensei) are well accomplished Masters/Champions but with a very humble approach to teaching.“
“I have been going to radius, about 1 year now, everyone there are great, always a fun time with lots of laughs and always learning something new, great coach’s all around,“
“We moved to Fairfield about 2 years ago, after just earning our black belt at another school. After we settled in, it was time for my daughter and I to look for another school. We wanted to continue our TKD journey into the second dan, instead of starting at another martial arts school. We researched a few different places. Some were non responsive, or too far to our liking. We stumbled upon Song Tae Kwon and set up our trial class. We have been going here since December of 2021, and we are very happy with them.Master Song is a great teacher, and teaches the material well. The instructors, masters, and other students are all very helpful and patient. We enjoy going here and learning/improving our forms/curriculum. For anyone looking into starting Tae Kwon Do, I would reccomend this place.“
“They have a great team of instructors working to meet the needs of every indivudal in the space. The envionrment was friendly and welcoming instantaneously. Gracie, the mascot, is absolutely adorable too. I would definitely recommend anyone who is interested in learning martial arts to check this place out!“
“Great place, great environment, training is fantastic and the instructors are great and very knowledgeable. Also a very clean facility.“
“The team at AMAA has been absolutely wonderful. I send my six year old son there and couldn't be happier. The attention they give to each student is unparalleled. They instill focus as well as confidence into my son. The best part is that he loves it there too.“
“After having our son enrolled at 2 other karate studios in 2017 and finding that neither were a good longterm fit, we found our way to SDSS. The other studios just didn't feel right. We were looking for a facility where we could see our family for years to come. Our (now) 5 year old son is obsessed with martial arts, and the other studios were lacking structure, community, and that perfect balance of both positivity and discipline. Mr. Alex (the main instructor) has a solid curriculum. The kids have fun, get a great workout, and learn about respect and focus. He does a great job at reminding the younger students to raise their hands before speaking, not interrupting others, and using their patience. Nearly everything Alex focuses on in the studio bleeds into how one needs to act within a community (general sense, school, etc.), and even within a family unit. While in martial arts your main focus is yourself, and working on your own personal best, Alex also touches on the importance teamwork with the kids. We also love how enrollment includes in just the group classes, but a weekly semi-private class as well. Our son has been enrolled at SDSS for nearly a year now, and I see no end in sight. In fact I've enrolled myself in the adult program. We're at the studio 4-5 per week. It's practically our 2nd home. SDSS in Westport is hands down the best martial arts studio in the area. We're really thankful for the sense of community that Alex has fostered at the studio, and the activities he has organized outside of class. (Summer water fight at the beach, camps, and even free parties.) Bonus: It's across the street from both Starbucks and Barnes & Noble. Great places to kill time on days when you need a little break while your kid is in class.“
“My son has been going to SDSS Fairfield for over 2 years now and absolutely loves it. He is not a team sports guy but looks forward to going to SDSS every week! All his instructors have been amazing. My son is almost 7 and has ADHD, the team at SDSS has been so caring and supportive. We have even had his birthday party there last year which was so easy and well run.“
“My husband and I enrolled our daughter a year go and it was the best decision for us. She enjoys it and learns things like decipline, self-esteem, self-control and leadership. I recommend PMAFA“
