“I am seen by Dr Martin at this practice. I’ve been seeing him for 6+ months now. He is thoughtful, considerate, and knowledgeable. I went with a toothache from a botched root canal (done by a different practice and dentist). To be thorough and to get me the best possible outcome, he referred me to a specialist to make sure there wasn’t anything that could be done. To me, this is a sign of a great doctor! Anyway, the tooth couldn’t be saved and he did end up pulling it, in the end. It was worth it to know it was the right move.

This extraction was the easiest and fastest dental procedure of my life. My previous extraction took 2+ hours. I was out of the chair within 30 minutes with Dr Martin. The best part? The recovery has also been a night and day difference from my previous extractions. He explained that the length of the procedure plays a huge part in the difficulty of the recovery, so that makes sense. I was eating (liquids like yogurt drinks and pureed soups) and drinking water within a few hours without any problems. Clot formed quickly. Pain is very manageable and I feel great, just one day out. My last extraction had me bedridden and miserable 10 days out. I’m so grateful to have this practice just a few minutes from my house and highly recommend them!

“I left this review to help other parents who find themselves in a similar situation as I did recently. My 5-year-old was a patient and really enjoyed KidsFirst Dental. The office is a great environment for kids and the staff are all very friendly. The reason for four stars is that after our last checkup some cavities had formed and the dentist told us that we needed to go to the surgery center, put my son to sleep, and put crowns on my son’s teeth to fix them. I felt very uncomfortable with the idea of putting my 5-year-old under and into surgery for cavities on his baby teeth. We ended up getting a second opinion and having the cavities fixed somewhere else with just laughing gas. Looking back on it, I don't think it was the dentist's intention to push us into something we were uncomfortable with, and he thought general anesthesia was best for my son to make the process easier on him. The point of my review is that if you are in a similar situation with something you don't understand or feel uncomfortable with, make sure to thoroughly discuss it with the dentist. Also, when it comes to your child’s health and safety, it is worth getting a second opinion if you are still uncomfortable with it.“

“I have been going to Zimmer Dentistry for close to 25 years and have had nothing but positive experiences. I always feel like I get very complete and personalized attention. In fact, one of the things I like most is that they don't schedule numerous patients at the same time, so they don't have to rush from patient to patient. I never feel hurried. They have also helped me in emergency situations when I've broken a tooth or lost a filling and they have gotten me in right away. When I first came to them I was having lots of gum problems and they have helped me overcome them, so my teeth and gums feel much better. They also understand that I have a terrible gag reflex and are willing to implement extra measures to help me get through that, even though it takes longer. Their hygienists are very thorough but always work to be gentle. I truly cannot understand the negative review--I have had nothing but good experiences with them and they make going to the dentist, if not fun, then at least not an experience to be feared.“
