“I saw Whitney Johnston yesterday for a skin cancer screening. (It's $225 out of pocket an extra cost for any removal procedures.) She was light-hearted in her approach and it made me feel at ease, because it's otherwise an uncomfortable appointment. “I didn't realize until fairly recently that you can use your medical insurance for dermatology. I saw Dr. Broussard for a skin exam; she was nice. She said one small mole on my arm was unusual, so she removed it for a biopsy. It came back with no concerns, but a good example of why it's worth going to the derm every once in a while to catch anything before it gets big and harder to treat.“
