After finding them on Yelp, I had a promising conversation with Leo, and we scheduled an appointment for the next day. True to their word, the technician arrived promptly at 9 a.m., and we began to address the issue with my air conditioner. The technician accidentally miscommunicated the price of the procedure with me, although at the time, I did not know he had miscommunicated. I agreed to the fee. After the procedure was completed, he told me I owed him $125.00 more than what we agreed upon. To make a long story short, he told me sorry, but that is the charge. I didn't want to argue, so I wrote a check for the fee he was asking for. After the incident with the technician, I reached out to the ATA office. “Tim came in and SAVED THE DAY. Where he differed from other companies is his matter of fact explanations of the system and install, what will/won't pass inspection, and his experience with different brands. No upselling! He confirmed that the system is only as good as the installer. He offered a 10 year labor warranty (which speaks volumes about his confidence in his work). Even though it would have been easier to remove our 30 year old 5 ton package unit from the roof with a crane, I had a lot of concerns due to the surrounding trees, power lines, and narrow space, so Tim graciously agreed to have it removed by hand and he still got the entire job done in one day. New heat pump system with the furnace in the attic and replacement of the ducts was quoted at great price. Not cheap, but FAIR. New thermostat of course plus a new vent in our laundry room and a new attic access. 5-6 guys on site who were all very professional and took great care in doing the job. The install was done so professionally - not only did they leave no trace of the work inside and out, but all of the connections and lines are visibly clean and straight. A lot of care went into making it look good and not disturb our property. The system itself runs beautifully for heating and cooling. Very quiet, very fast, and strong. PSA I learned from Tim: Always change your filter every 90 days! This will do wonders for keeping the system running perfectly. I highly recommend Tim and Efficiency Air. I have already been telling my coworkers and friends - if anyone needs HVAC they are the way to go!“
