“I'm currently in treatment for breast cancer, and as part of accepting that I'll need a mastectomy I opted to do a boudoir photoshoot to capture my body as it is right now. I was a little nervous and was feeling a bit of a complex mix of feelings about the whole thing, but as soon as I arrived for the shoot everything felt so warm, welcoming, and relaxed, and it was such a great experience. I brought my own outfits, but then Christina did an amazing job of adding accessories and planning out what would be good poses to do with each one. Everything felt so smooth and comfortable. I had already started chemo and lost my hair at this point, and I'd brought a wig to maybe use but we opted to shoot all the pictures without it and the whole process of taking these beautiful pictures with my bald head felt so empowering and a bit emotional.I just got access to the gallery of pictures and they're gorgeous, I'm so happy with how everything turned out! I plan to come back for another session after I'm fully healed from my surgery, to celebrate my new body.“
