Anytime Fitness has recently undergone positive changes under new ownership, leading to a noticeable improvement in the gym's overall environment. The new owners are caring, genuine individuals who have made the gym cleaner and safer by installing new locks, repairing cameras, and addressing unauthorized users. They have also fixed some equipment issues after six months of no action, creating a noticeable night and day difference from previous months. The gym offers 24-hour access, making it convenient for members. It is well-stocked with cleaning supplies, hygiene products, free weights, kettlebells, mobility sticks, and a turf area, catering well to those on their fitness journey. The staff, including the manager and coach, are friendly, approachable, and eager to help. Many members also appear friendly, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. However, some challenges remain. There are ongoing issues with cleanliness, especially in the bathrooms, which are often out of soap, clogged, or have leaks. Maintenance concerns include leaking ceilings, small bugs on the floor, and machines that are not bolted to the floor, posing safety risks as they move during use. Despite these issues, the gym is appreciated for its equipment, peaceful environment, and the improvements made in recent months. Overall, it is a solid choice for those seeking a friendly, well-equipped fitness space.
Met with new owners- genuine gentlemen that care about the club and are already turning it around. The club is cleaner, safer (installed new locks, repairing cameras, and taking care of unauthorized users) and is kept stocked with cleaning and hygiene supplies. They also finally fixed some equipment after 6 months of no action from the previous owners. Complete night and day difference from several months ago.
I’m a member here. It’s right next door to an Indian restaurant and the smell in the morning when I go to workout has been enough to make me not use my membership. The machines aren’t screwed into the floor. And there is zero fresh air due to the door locks being the way they track attendance. If I knew these things I wouldn’t have signed up for a contract which is another negative thing. They also want to charge a yearly maintenance fee but the machines have tape on the pads and the cardio gear is not always working.
Since I moved to Vista and had to put my gym equipment in storage this gym has been a lifesaver. Has all the free weights and kettlebells I need plus mobility sticks which are a great addition to my routine. 24hr access, showers, bins for your bags, and a turf area as well. The manager and coach are very friendly and are there for you if you have any questions. I’ve also noticed most of the gym goers there are friendly if that matters to you. It might not be for everyone in regards to price and how small it is compared to other gyms, but it has everything you need to help you on your fitness journey.
