“I couldn't have asked for a better first haircut experience for my daughter! She's newly 4 years old and up until recently I've been able to manage her gorgeous curls but with the weather change and curls just being generally thirsty, it was finally time for a good trim. I had received such great references from my local mom group on FB that I was more than willing to make the drive from Oceanside to San Marcos for an appointment. My daughter is generally pretty reasonable but sometimes has a hard time with new and unfamiliar situations, and expressed several times on the drive to our appointment that she didn't want a haircut so I was nervous.Neysa met us and let us in the door, taking us back to her studio. The bright yellow walls in her studio are cheery and welcoming, the tv with some monster truck cartoon playing was an immediate distraction, as was the assortment of cars, trucks, planes etc that my daughter grabbed and brought over to the chair.Neysa took a moment to explain what she was about to do, reassured that nothing would hurt and got straight to work. She also had a few different tablet choices, so my daughter picked one and was good to go. Neysa worked quickly and efficiently, communicating each step to both my daughter as well as myself and my husband (ie "I'm going to spray some water now," "we're going to put a cape on so your clothes don't get wet") so there were no off-putting surprises. Nothing felt rushed and despite working on a moving target like all kids tend to be, she was finished in no time.Neysa then offered to paint her nails but my daughter declined, so she offered a pretty braid and pulled out her phone to show options, of which my daughter chose a heart which was completed in minutes. She also got to pick a pretty bow for her finished hair, as well as a lollipop and a treasure from the treasure chest. It was such a fun experience for all of us and I couldn't have asked for anything better! My daughter left feeling beautiful and proud of herself for facing her fears, which is the best outcome of all.I definitely don't plan on waiting another 4 years to get her another haircut but I am already looking forward to her next one! I would rate more stars if I could, 5 just doesn't seem to do justice. We will definitely be back, and will be referring anyone else looking for a haircut for their kiddo. “If you are looking for someone to do your hair on your wedding day - look no further. I did my trial with Erika months before my wedding and she nailed the look I was going for. She was able to make my hair vision come to life with extensions! She is an expert at putting in both regular clip ins and the halo extension. After my trial, I booked her immediately.On the day of my wedding, she seriously made me look beautiful. I was nervous my extensions were going to feel heavy or fall out (I had a ton of clip ins and a halo) - but she managed to make me feel like I had no extensions in. Crazy. My hair felt secure all day and my curls lasted the entire day and night. I got so many compliments.Erika is also pretty fast and efficient, which is what you need as a bride. I booked her to do 13 woman and she brought a partner and finished exactly per the timeline. All the woman loved their hair (including two moms, bridesmaids, and a bridesmaid who also got her extensions put in!)Look no further if you want to look amazing on your wedding day. “I tried this place out yesterday, for the first time. I have tried several places in San Marcos, Escondido and Fallbrook and just hadn't found my person yet. I told Kim what I wanted and I couldn't be more happy with the results! I had awful Covid hair and had been lightening it with grocery store color( for the first time in my life, but hey - Covid ). I mentioned I wanted high lights and low lights and some color corrections. Kim is a genius with hair! She fixed the brassiness and the regrowth. I'm very glad I chose this place and her! “Yesterday I wanted to get my hair cut last minute and I walked right in to Felicita Hair & Nail. I asked if they were busy (for me being a last minute walk in) they asked me what I needed? I told them a haircut. They welcomed me in right away! The man there was the only one available while everyone was busy with other clients. and I was hesitant because I usually only have had my hair cut by women. I showed him some pictures & ideas of what I wanted. He ended up telling me what was best for my hair. So i let him do his thing. I walked out of their salon with a smile on my face! “I have been going to Erica for all of my cut, color, and styling needs for years now, even when I lived in LA and had to drive to Escondido every other month to see her. She ALWAYS does an amazing job. She is especially great at asking the right questions about the look you're going for in order to make sure the results are what you're expecting- which is vital when it comes to drastic cuts or color changes. She has worked with all kinds of hair, and she knows how to treat your head of hair as the unique unicorn that it is. Erica and the other stylists are constantly continuing their education to learn the newest techniques in hair trends. So no matter who you get when you come in- you're in great hands. Another huge plus is the pleasant atmosphere of the salon. If you get your hair colored often, you know how important it is to LIKE the person you're about to spend 1-3 hours with. Erica and the other stylists are friendly and kind, so the time flies by. The salon is cute, clean, and comfortable and I look forward to coming in, making myself some coffee, and getting pampered. I call my visits to Hair Haven my "thairapy".“
