“We remodeled our house in Belmont by adding a second floor and completely reconfiguring our first floor. We received bids from several builders but decided to go with Tony. We were living in Menlo Park at the time, and it turns out he lived on our street! Tony presented us with a reasonable bid for the work, and in the end, we are very glad we went with him. Tony has gathered a team of subcontractors over 30 years in the business that he trusts and that do excellent work. He is a great communicator, and he always kept us informed what was being done, what was next, and what additional things he recommended should be/needed to be done. The remodel took longer than we wanted but this was due to our choice not to hire an interior designer but to do all the work in choosing the kitchen designer, tiles, pulls, designing our bathrooms etc. ourselves. But that aside, Tony’s crew did a fantastic job with the new addition even navigating through issues with the design that looked fine on paper but didn’t quite work out as planned. For example, when a door (that would lead down to the garage) would not fit under the new stairs to the second floor, he just moved the garage stairs and made it part of the house (see pics) which turned out very nice, making our great room look even more open! Another positive for Tony is that he gives an honest opinion, especially given we were choosing our own accents. This saved us from a few mistakes we would have regretted, like our kitchen backsplash. In a way, it felt like we were designing our interior (and exterior) together, so Tony was sort of an interior designer (free of charge). Overall, it was a pleasure working with Tony and his crew. Their attention to detail and being sensitive to our needs was top notch. We highly recommend Nolasco Construction.“

“I had both my kitchen and then my master bathroom remodeled using Artistic Stone's services and they are incredibly easy to work with and do an excellent job. Recently, for our bathroom, they cut and installed a 3-piece shower set with a quartz slab shower pan that came together so well. They installed a niche as well so that the stone pattern matched. Helen worked with me multiple times to pick out the countertop quartz, shower wall set, extra pieces to make the curb, and finally the quartz shower pan. I love working with Helen and will definitely be back for any future remodels.“

Oscar Construction's estimate was the lowest, and its estimate included some features that weren't included in the next lowest estimate. At first, I was a bit reluctant to accept Oscar's estimate simply because I sometimes wonder whether the contractor that gives the lowest estimate will unwisely "cut corners" so as hold costs down. But I was satisfied with Oscar's responses to all of my questions, so I accepted the proposal. I'm glad I did. The work exceeded my expectations in multiple respects. “Terrence did a great job repairing the portion of the roof that had tiles shifted out of place because the sideboard the tiles attached to was warped. He delivered the lumber for me to paint a few days before the repair job. He did the work expertly and efficiently. He put in new underlayment and did touch up paint on the lumber. He was also nice enough to paint a short down sprout that had some rust. His quoted price is competitive, and he paid attention to details, and cleaned up after the job was done. I will definitely call him again if the roof needs any other work. I highly recommend Terrence Moore and his company.“

Construction Supervisor Dylan's supervision was truly impressive, tending to every detail: staffing, supplies, oversight, coordination with the county inspector, and many other tasks. He was patient, communicative, flexible, and visited the job site personally usually twice a day. Carl, the principal workman on the project, cannot be commended highly enough. Carl's range of experience in every phase of this project was nothing short of remarkable, whether it was plumbing, tiling, painting, or any other task. There was no problem that Carl could not solve out of his extensive experience. He was knowledgeable, efficient, fast, and helpful above and beyond, accommodating, and displaying a remarkable attention to detail. He took great pride in his work. Nelson, Miguel, and Ivan too were efficient and hard working. They kept the job site clean after each day's work, and arrived punctually at the start of each day's work. Punctuality is a rare quality these days, but every day, like clockwork, the B.A. Morrison truck(s) pulled up just as my clock was chiming 8 a.m.!
