“Just finished our full kitchen remodel with Construction & More and we are very happy with the results. After unsatisfactory interviews with a couple contractors and Home Depot, it was a pleasure to have a positive initial meeting with Avi at their office. Having an office in Fremont was also big plus to me, because traffic is such an issue these days.

The paperwork was all very clear and easy to understand. Alex was very patient as we made numerous changes to the design to squeeze as much as we could into our fairly small kitchen. Once the design was settled, things started moving very quickly and there was significant progress each day. Their team helped to set up a temporary kitchen in the adjacent room, which made things much more livable for us during the project. Communication through a WhatsApp group worked very well – Avi and the team were always quick to respond to any questions or requests. We had some additional work in the garage, and we added a few items during the project. The price for these additions were quite reasonable. Avi managed the permits with the City very well and there we no issues. We are very pleased with speed their quality of work/attention to detail and we’re very happy with our new kitchen.

“We remodeled our house in Belmont by adding a second floor and completely reconfiguring our first floor. We received bids from several builders but decided to go with Tony. We were living in Menlo Park at the time, and it turns out he lived on our street! Tony presented us with a reasonable bid for the work, and in the end, we are very glad we went with him. Tony has gathered a team of subcontractors over 30 years in the business that he trusts and that do excellent work. He is a great communicator, and he always kept us informed what was being done, what was next, and what additional things he recommended should be/needed to be done. The remodel took longer than we wanted but this was due to our choice not to hire an interior designer but to do all the work in choosing the kitchen designer, tiles, pulls, designing our bathrooms etc. ourselves. But that aside, Tony’s crew did a fantastic job with the new addition even navigating through issues with the design that looked fine on paper but didn’t quite work out as planned. For example, when a door (that would lead down to the garage) would not fit under the new stairs to the second floor, he just moved the garage stairs and made it part of the house (see pics) which turned out very nice, making our great room look even more open! Another positive for Tony is that he gives an honest opinion, especially given we were choosing our own accents. This saved us from a few mistakes we would have regretted, like our kitchen backsplash. In a way, it felt like we were designing our interior (and exterior) together, so Tony was sort of an interior designer (free of charge). Overall, it was a pleasure working with Tony and his crew. Their attention to detail and being sensitive to our needs was top notch. We highly recommend Nolasco Construction.“

“I needed to have a retaining wall in my backyard replaced. I got estimates from three contractors. Oscar Construction's estimate was the lowest, and its estimate included some features that weren't included in the next lowest estimate. At first, I was a bit reluctant to accept Oscar's estimate simply because I sometimes wonder whether the contractor that gives the lowest estimate will unwisely "cut corners" so as hold costs down. But I was satisfied with Oscar's responses to all of my questions, so I accepted the proposal. I'm glad I did. The work exceeded my expectations in multiple respects. The work was done efficiently and for a reasonable price. (And Oscar, the proprietor, is friendly, open and responsive--very good to work with.)“

“Terrence did a great job repairing the portion of the roof that had tiles shifted out of place because the sideboard the tiles attached to was warped. He delivered the lumber for me to paint a few days before the repair job. He did the work expertly and efficiently. He put in new underlayment and did touch up paint on the lumber. He was also nice enough to paint a short down sprout that had some rust. His quoted price is competitive, and he paid attention to details, and cleaned up after the job was done. I will definitely call him again if the roof needs any other work. I highly recommend Terrence Moore and his company.“

“We hired Villatoro & M Construction (VC) for a whole house remodel. Our project included everything from seismic and electrical upgrades to a full kitchen and bath remodeling. They literally took almost every wall down to the studs then rebuilt them with new windows, doors, wiring, insulation and wall board. The final result looks amazing. During the process, VC worked diligently to get the job done in less than six months. They have a large crew and were able to schedule whatever resource was needed in a timely manner- sometimes having 8 to 10 workers on site at a time. Several key staff were onsite regularly and seemed to take personal interest in the project outcome. But one of the key qualities that we appreciated most about VC is the integrity of Victor, Victor Jr and Milton. “A year ago, the total remodel of our kitchen in our 1936 home was completed. I waited to write a review to determine the lasting satisfaction of the remodel. The remodel was a full demo of the old kitchen including removing a wall to add an arch between the kitchen and the dining room. Replacement of two windows. Full custom cabinetry allowed us to have exactly the fit and function we desired. All new up-sized appliances (from Friedmans Appliances in Pleasant Hill...highly recommended). The new kitchen was fitted with new hardwood floors that were made to perfectly match the existing floors in the living room and dining room Overall, the kitchen is gorgeous and its function fits exactly how we want to use a kitchen Welte was great to work with. It started with a thorough review of the plans and a detailed proposal which included what work was planned, expected timeframe and committed costs. The project itself went very smoothly. Protection of the existing spaces was always top priority (including awareness and care of our two indoor cats). Some change orders along the way were added to cover requests that were not part of the initial plan. Welte used some subcontractors for things like flooring and dry wall construction. They stood by the quality of those that did work for them. The people were very professional and personable. It was a pleasure to work with them, which included a project manager (Andrew), project coordinator (Julie), lead craftsman (Rick who was on site every workday) and assistant (Al), and specialists as needed (e.g. electrician). Bill Welte, the owner, was always accessible and oversaw the project to assure top quality, a very easy job for him as the skill and talent of his crew was top notch. There may be less expensive contractors but we got full value from the high level of quality and workmanship. As a thank you from Bill for trusting Welte Construction with our remodel, after the project was completed he paid to have all the windows in our home professionally cleaned. A very nice touch. So, one year later... We are still totally enamored with our kitchen. The quality was put in from the get go and I know it will stand up for years to come.
