“I live in North Glendale and I drive to Long Beach for Dr An and Dr Fries. I met Dr An when he was a young vet, practicing in Dr Fries' practice. He treated my Rottweiler, Duke, for an autoimmune disease even though two other vets told me to put him down. He gave me six more very good years with my beloved. When Duke developed a reaction to Prednisone, Dr An found an alternative drug that he could tolerate. He treated the symptoms of Cushings because of drug interactions. Duke died a natural death at 14 - a very long life for a very big dog. Dr An also treated Ellie, my Shiba Inu, who developed Dementia in the last year of her life. We made a pact that he would do everything he could to give her quality of life. When it was time, he reminded me of our pact. His love and compassion gave me comfort that we had done our best for Ellie. Dr Fries is an equally supporting doctor. When Duke developed a bleed in his paw because of the Prednisone, Dr Fries took him in immediately on a busy Saturday morning and stopped the bleeding. He treated Duke's paw cancer and was so kind that, even though we had to do surgery to remove a digit, Duke did not fight when we had to go back for post-operative care. These two doctors represent how medicine - animal and human - should be practiced. In this day of swinging door doctors and large impersonal practices when one is treated by a different doctor at every visit, they are a reminder of the good old days.“

“I have known Alex for several years. He helped me with my last dog. I was just exasperated with Ben. He chewed up my furniture twice and was just a wild child! After taking Ben home to work with him he came back a changed dog. Most recently, Alex took my little Frenchie pup into his Board and Train program. He has a way of working with dogs using positive reinforcement and love. He also gives the owner the tools they need to continue the training at home. I would HIGHLY recommend Alex and the Dogfather Institute for all your training needs! Whether you have a problem dog, or just want your dog to learn some manners, Alex is your guy. “This review is definitely overdue. we really owe Stacey so much to the success of Coco being potty trained. Coco is a 3 1/2 year-old pure breed toy size Yorkshire. I love her to death, but since she's my first dog, I didn't really know how to potty train her Basically she was really just going inside the house and to the my husband stopped having Hope and said I probably need to get rid of her. I am so grateful that I found Stacy thanks to Yelp. The first time I called Stacey very patiently walk me through the registration process to at least have her come over to do it in consultation. I would say Stacy is such a professional she has a process that we sit down and talk about our goals and whether it is attainable during the six week course. we asked for full potty train, don't bark at the door and also obedient while walking outside: Stacey is super knowledgeable. She had explained to us how dog psychological behavior works and they are definitely behavior that will take longer time to change if that is really what we want such as not barking at the door. Stacie was very professional and also she is so caring she's always following up and after every session she sent a report which I super appreciate because I don't think I can remember all the details . She came up with a plan and advices to strictly because we have 4 teenagers in a house and everybody do different things with Coco. She is also super flexible. There are a couple times we had to move the schedule and she was very accommodating. Stacey quickly became Coco's favorite. We've discovered even some very interesting tricks together. Anyway, again, I can't say enough of good things about Stacey and I will definitely recommend anyone who is looking to train a difficult puppy or dog .:: since Coco was already 2 1/2 when we got Stacy to work with her. Coco is fully potty trained and I don't think I could do it without Stacy being here . Thank you so much, Stacy !!“

“I was lucky enough to cross paths with Bryndon while looking for a trainer for my 5 month old puppy Keera . Bryndon was quick to respond back to my message and we liked him immediately. He was punctual, kind , honest , and upfront about how he works . We signed up for the one on one package. We were having issues with jumping on people when they came to the house , chewing and pulling on the leash and walking like a total Karen. She had no recall and wasn't listening . With some time , effort and patience, Bryndon helped us alleviated those issues . Note : this is not a Bryndon does everything and your dog is immediately cured of bad behavior. Just like most things in life ... what you put in ... is what you will get out of it. Keera no longer jumps on people , she has great recall and we are almost to the point of walking off leash at 9 months . You won't be sorry if you sign up !“

“The Hounds Grounds is AMAZING! I have been bringing my puppy to the Hounds Grounds ever since he was 12 weeks old and he is now 3 years old! They helped me so much with him! They provided puppy classes, obedience training and refresher trainings! I also take my dog there three days a week for doggy day care and he absolutely LOVES it! The trainers at the Hounds Grounds are amazing and do such a thorough, loving job training the dogs and taking care of them. I feel so lucky to have found the Hounds Grounds - this is my dog's home away from home and he is taken care of so very well! I highly recommend the Hounds Grounds!“

When I was in the hospital, they came to my home twice a day to feed, clean up after, and socialize with my beloved dog, macaw, and parrot. “Brookfield took care of our dog after he was attacked by a lose dog in our neighborhood. They took him in immediately and provided great care. The vet was compassionate and thorough in explaining what needed to be done. The next day I received a follow up email first thing in the morning asking how he was doing. And then throughout the day the office was in communication with me by email because they wanted to be sure he was eating. It meant a lot to me.“

“A very POSITIVE experience for me and Reilly, our 12 month Standard Poodle :)Initial concerns were leash pulling and behavior on leash with distractions (other dogs, bunnies, etc).Ryan also identified that Reilly exhibited signs of fearful dog in regards to new people (their approach) and new equipment.Regardless of the scenario, Ryan was ALWAYS patient, calm, assertive and kind to us. His training techniques and personality make learning fun for both human and canine. “I took my little dog Daisy to get her teeth pulled because she had severe dental issues, and I was worried because She is very old, but Dr. Michael Shenouda was impressive. He took the time to discuss everything with me in detail, and was kind and patient with my questions. And, he did a great job with my dog's mouth. First time I encountered this Dr, and I like him a lot. I stopped bringing my dogs here because I wasn't impressed with the other docs or the front desk service, but this time the front desk staff were also very helpful and kind. I think I will start bringing my dogs back here again“

“Just left our first vet appointment here. Wow! Marcella and the doctor were beyond amazing. The front desk was so nice. They are so honest about what your baby needs, what the options are and they print out an invoice before you pay so you can discuss. Beyond helpful. So glad we found our new doctor for our Nala. Also, not sure if there are more nurses but definitely ask for Marcella. She was the sweetest and so gentle while giving out 3 shots.“
