Her staff is also great. Christine, the hygienist, is friendly and does a very thorough job. She also teaches at the dental school, so her skills are tops!

Catherine, the receptionist, is great with scheduling appointments and finding ones that work.

I visited Vista Dental for an initial examination, which is required before a routine teeth cleaning. Despite having the highest level of dental insurance coverage, I encountered significant confusion regarding their billing practices. I was assured that all procedures would be covered by my insurance, yet I received a bill for a pre-orthodontic treatment exam that I did not request or need. This lack of clarity and transparency in their charging practices has been very disappointing. They are also very popular so appointments are scheduled 1 month+ out. I still have not had my teeth cleaning which is all I wanted and probably will not until this billing issue is resolved. I hope Vista Dental improves their communication and billing processes in the future.“

“I was referred to South San Francisco Dental Care for pediatric dental care, and am very glad I came here! The office experience is great--they have kid-friendly movies playing on a TV in the waiting room, such as Finding Nemo or The Peanuts Movie--and the overall experience is clean and modern. The quality of care is excellent: we are very happy with the level of care provided, and how all of our questions were answered in depth. Pro tip: try to write down questions beforehand, it helps prevent you forgetting any when you are asked on the spot. Or even afterwards, when you go, 'I should have asked XYZ, write those down for next time.' Ample parking is available, and there is an elevator that will take you up to the 2nd floor. Note, their office is all the way at the end of the hall.“
