“I've had to change dentists because of insurance issues multiple times in the last few years. It has been supremely annoying, but on the bright side it has led me to Dr. Louie!His office is located in a building with a few other small healthcare providers and is pretty small. He had one receptionist working while I was there, and unfortunately she had trouble running my and my husband's insurance - I don't blame her though, we have complicated out-of-state insurance. Dr. Louie actually helped resolve that himself! Another point for him. Once the cleaning began, I was very impressed by how gentle he was and how knowledgeable he was about teeth. I've been to many dentists but I've never heard so many dental and flossing facts while I was getting worked on. He also gave me some flossing tips I had never heard before which I've implemented in my daily routine. The biggest plus for me was that my mildly dentist-phobic husband had a similarly pleasant experience. He said he wouldn't mind coming back for a checkup sometime in the next year, which speaks volumes to the quality of work Dr. Louie does.“

“This review is about the office staff. I am looking for a new dentist because I was unhappy with the service at my current one. When I called Dr. Bernstein's office, the lady (Allison) who talked with me was extremely pleasant, warm, intelligent, and helpful. Her attitude was not affected by if I made an appointment or not. She was just friendly and open. It was a stark opposite of my experiences at my current place. I have not seen Dr, Bernstein yet, but I have always valued office staff's attitudes and believe they represent how the office is run and how they treat their patients, with care and compassion or view them merely as $ signs. “I have been coming to Montclair Dentistry for a year. My dentist of 40 yrs retired and I found Dr Kim & Dr Mac. Dr Kim is awesome and I will miss her. Her last day was Jan 11. Dr Mac is very through and explains everything which is so important . Especially when you are having your teeth cleaned. They have a wonderful receptionist name Jamie who is always happy to see me and asks about my husband who is also a patient at this Dentistry! This place is just amazing! I’m so glad I found them!“

“I cannot recommend this place enough. They came recommended to me by my friend (thanks, Erin!) as I was literally shaking after an awful interaction with another dentist in Emeryville. Dr Butler and her team were amazing to work with, from the little details (asking what my pronouns were in my first interaction with Dr Nyugen) to guiding me through a specific issue I had with teeth grinding. Dr Butler and her staff fitted me out for a device (deprogrammer) that seemed unlikely to help, so unlikely that I actually asked for a refund which they graciously offered. Only to have me reach out to them and apologize, because it was actually helping with my grinding movements throughout the day, not just at night. They graciously gave it back to me and followed up with concrete next steps for what I hope will eventually help with my situation. Unfortunately, I've since moved out to Concord so I need to find a provider closer to me. I can only hope my new dentist will offer half the support, care, and attention to detail that Oakland EcoDental did. I will miss this office! To the office staff: Thank you for all your help! Y'all are such a breath of fresh air I will happily recommend you to others looking for a dentist in the Oakland area“

“Just had my new patient appointment at Lakeshore Family Dental and wanted to report it deserves the 5 Star Salute.Not only is the receptionist Arielle a delight on the phone, but it seems her warm and personable manner is representative of the entire practice. I was very positively impressed with Doctor Brune, who started his visit by acknowledging that I wouldn't be able to talk much once he got started, and solicited my concerns and questions before he disabled my mouth. After learning that I am a clinician he then enriched the rest of our time with fascinating insights about the biology of the mouth and the mechanics of the jaw, not to mention thoughts on diet, human psychology and geographic distribution of disease, as he probed, tidied and adjusted things inside my mouth. He enthusiastically cited multiple studies from not only within his field but beyond, demonstrating an intellectual curiosity that seems to truly inform and enhance his work as a dentist. Of course I felt good because he complimented my shallow pockets (dentist joke), but he also had a logical interpretation and practical solution to my chief complaint which was an incomplete incisor bite, which I had mistakenly attributed to a different cause. He spent that very visit adjusting my bite, and laid out several backup strategies if the bite doesn't improve in the next few weeks. All in all, I feel I have found not only a soul mate in oral health nerdiness but overall, a friendly and proactive practice which really wants to prolong my relationship with my teeth. Oh, and did I mention they take Delta Dental PPO, which has a reputation for crappy reimbursement to the hard working clinicians who are on their insurance panel?So grateful that such high quality care is available to me.5 stars for Lakeshore Family Dental !“
