I went in today to get my dad a birthday gift certificate because he always talks about how much he loves going here to get a face shave and hair cut. Everyone was so nice, and so kind and helpful and I walked out understanding why my dad likes it here so much. Also from a girl perspective, SUPER clean and felt like a movie set! Good vibes!
Really love Square Deal. It has a nostalgic charm and one of the friendliest and most community oriented barber shoppes I've been to. You can really feel the care and passion the barbers have here. Also love that while it's retro it also feels modern at the same time, but with zero pretentiousness. Have had my hair cut by ANDY twice now and he's really really terrific. Has the art of barbering in his bones and it really shows. He's super detail oriented and takes a lot of pride in what he does. Can't essay enough good things about him, his passion and his love of the old school barber shoppe experience.
I get my hair and that of my two kids cut here. Mister Ronny is a virtuoso with those scissors. His understanding of the human scalp and things coming out of it is unparalleled. Each snip, either with scissor or electric clipper is precise, accurate and stylish. He cut my hair when it was long. He cut my hair when it was short. He took care of my COVID depression beard with such generosity of spirit that I didn’t need to go to therapy for a year.
The banter at this barber shop keeps everyone there laughing the whole time. There are people in there with viewpoints across the spectrum and everyone is respectful and honest.
