My daughter has thoroughly enjoyed being a student of Choi's Tae Kwon Do. She is continuing to learn, grow and flourish with the guidance of her teachers. Master Choi has the perfect balance of lightheartedness and discipline. She and the rest of the teachers and students are great role models for newer students. I highly recommend this Tae Kwon Do studio to anyone seeking to learn as the environment is extremely positive and uplifting!
During the classes of Tae Kwon Do, the kids are given a great workout in the martial art which the students learn stretching, running, kicks, blocks, hits, poomse (forms) and sparring. They even learn to fall correctly! Master Choi and the other teachers lead a disciplined class with room for a little form. It is great that the program includes reinforcing good behavior outside of class. The studio also offers a twice a week adult/teen evening class. Teen are welcome to come to the afternoon classes as well.
Master Choi's tae kwon do must be the finest studio around. We looked at the others before signing our boy up and were dismayed by the video arcade atmosphere in some, the lack of discipline and focus in others, and what appeared to be a missing emphasis on form in still others. Master Choi instills a sense of respect for tae kwon do, and it shows in the way she teaches her students to be centered, competent and confident. We've been with her for close to three years now and wouldn't consider going anywhere else. In fact, many of her students come to her from other studios. If you want the real experience of tae kwon do from a sixth degree black belt master, as opposed to just dabbling in the mixed martial arts fad, Choi's Tae Kwon Do is the place to go. Also, she teaches adults, not just kids.
