I selected A-1 after bidding a project (fence replacement) to 3 companies; A-1 was in the middle and Mike spent a lot of time discussing the project on-site before writing a proposal. He walked me through options to ensure we got what we needed and guided us away from more expensive options, explaining differences in raw materials, which I appreciated.The project went smoothly, on-time, and on-budget and the quality of work was great. I then contracted with Mike for 2 other projects, which also went like clockwork. On the most recent one he used some excess lumber to fix a broken railing which I hadn't talked about with him, and he didn't say anything about this.I've rarely found contractors who are as competent, collaborative, and focused as Mike, and would highly recommend him.

Mike and his crew are fantastic! Parts of our fence were damaged in that big storm late last year. It took us a bit of time to find a fencing company that actually returned our calls and then showed interest in us. We were able to get some bids and Mike's was the best one, the most complete, he provided us with options, and, when we asked for some different options, promptly provided them. The end-product is absolutely beautiful. We had told Mike we were hoping to get it done ASAP, and he fit us in! He is up-front and tells it like it is. He is clear about what he can and can't do, and even when you really don't need what you think you want.

Mike and his crew recently completed our backyard fence and we are so pleased with the outcome! It is really exceptional and sturdy/ exactly what we hoped for. They did the preparation in removing all garden debris and were very clean and organized with all supplies for the two days they were working on the fence. They even managed to help salvage some of my flowers that were in the way of the new fence placement- very thoughtful.Afterwards, they cleaned so thoroughly that it was hard to tell such a huge job was just completed. Mike is very friendly, professional, knowledgeable and responsive. Outstanding customer service and skill. We are very grateful to have found him and his company and would recommend 100%!
