I been coming with my family to Dr. Ko since 2009 and i can say he's the best. with his treatments I've been through a lot of positive changes. he's semi retired now. so he's only open on Wednesdays from 8 am to 6 pm. great treasure to have in this community.
Ko is wonderful. I found that he's still in SP. However just on Wednesdays & his office is just less than minute from previous location.. I've alreary seen him twice & feeling better. Now looking forward to the great massage therapist next Wed.
I have recurring sciatica pain, and when it strikes I feel debilitated. I can't concentrate on work, I can't hike, I can barely lift myself into my car to drive. Some number of years ago, I went to a pain specialist in Redondo Beach who shot either side of spine with cortisone and that really helped for quite a while. My insurance covered part of the procedure, but it was still expensive. Worth it though. And then.......whammo. The pain came back. It was so bad that I was walking with a limp and in a constant state of agony. Knowing that cortisone wasn't all that healthy as a treatment, I decided I would try acupuncture first before resorting to another round of injections. I'm so glad I found Ko's Wellness (through a Google search of nearby acupuncturists). Dr. Ko is amazing. I bought a series of five treatments and by the 5th treatment I was feeling no pain at all. Sadly, my insurance did not pay any part of this, but the money I spent was still less than what I paid at my previous pain specialist. And the price at Ko's Wellness is reasonable......more than reasonable since his treatments work. Now I only go back for one treatment when I feel like the pain might be coming back. One treatment does the trick. The last time I visited was right before the holidays, and I'm guessing that muscle tightness and stress was causing the sciatica flare-up. After Dr. Ko worked his acupuncture magic, I promised myself that I would give him a review as soon as I could, and I hope that people who might be suffering from similar pain will give him a try.
