First thing I noticed and LOVE about this place is that its VEGAN! Vegan is what's good for your skin inside and out. You literally cannot get any better than vegan, especially with skincare. Second, Selenia is so sweet! She is VERY detailed and professional. She can be gentle and strong with her hands which I love. Third, The place is clean and down right adorable. I couldn't feel more at home than I do here. I forgot to take pictures but trust me I will give it to you straight whether its clean or not. Professionalism means everything to me. Selenia is wonderful! She's a gracious and kind person; one who takes great pride in providing a comfortable, safe, and nurturing environment--all while offering wonderful, relaxing facials and waxing. I've been going to Selenia for nearly a year and can honestly say that I look forward to my monthly wax and facial. It's "me" time and so worth it. I was hesitant to have a facial peel, but Selenia walked me through the process and the pros & cons, and now I'm hooked on how beautiful my skin is. So hooked that I ask each month which facial peel we'll be using. :) We are so lucky to have Selenia in San Mateo -- she's a rare find and someone I highly recommend!

I went to Selenia's a long time ago and was referred by our mutual friend Jona for a facial promotion. At the time, I didn't know what a good facial was but having experienced many facials since then, I would have to rate Selenia up there with the best which is the reason why I'm writing a positive although delayed review. The storefront/waiting area/entry is cute and cozy. Nothing big or over the top but it reminds me of a lot of the stores on 24th in Noe Valley. Quaint but a lot of items to look at it or buy.
