I've been training with Charles for a little under 2 years. He's the first personal trainer I've ever had and it's been a transformative experience. I went from never deadlifting to deadlifting 315lbs, among other milestones.Just trust the process with Charles and you'll be amazed with the results.
I can't speak highly enough of Eileen and would highly recommend her to anybody. We started working with Eileen because we wanted to learn proper technique and learn to love lifting, especially after many sedentary months during Covid. She was able to provide us each with tremendous attention and was an excellent teacher. I personally hadn't lifted in many years and had a number of issues with my form but with Eileen's careful attention and instruction I've built a strong foundation to continue making gains. We worked with her for about 6 months and saw dramatic improvement. I'm confident that she could help anybody get in the best shape of their lives.
All you really need to know is in 8 months with Charles I lost 18.9lbs of fat while gaining 6.5lbs of muscle at age 45. Read on for a long winded description of my journey. A friend I've known for 20 years had recently undergone a transformation from pudgy to skinny and now built and going to powerlifting meets. I was going through a midlife crisis rethinking my life choices: mid 40s, overweight, extremely sedentary both at work and at home, fought with weight constantly, absolutely non-athletic, and had never worked out in my life. My friend suggested I meet with Charles, the trainer responsible for his drastic change at the home gym my friend had built during covid and watch and chat with Charles. I was skeptical going in. I had no aspirations of going to meets or getting big. All I wanted was to be healthier and to avoid the back and health problems that plague my parents later in life. After discussing my goals with Charles I decided to give it a try for a few sessions. Working out with Charles was more fun than I expected and I got interested in being fit. Comparing my workouts with my friends, it was clear he was tailoring our sessions to our specific needs. My time as a novice was radically different than watching my friends workout. Whereas his was focused on strength mine was much more conditioning, making sure I had enough stamina to even workout for an extended amount of time. I love tracking my life, my sleep apps, apple watch stats, whoop and oura etc so I decided to have a good "before" benchmark and got a dexa scan to see the state my body was in. There's something addicting about watching the numbers move. My weight kept moving down and the amount I lifted moved up. Clothes didn't fit, people commented on my appearance. A lot of positive reinforcement and Charles checking in on me helped me keep at it. Fast forward to now, time for a follow up dexa scan. Upon seeing the results the employee doing the scan remarked at the incredible progress. This was also despite the fact that between the lazy winter holidays where I ate too much and early January where I got omicron I didn't exercise for a month (and I regressed during the downtime). This is all a long winded way for me to thank Charles and recommended him to anyone who wants to have a better quality of life now and for your future. Even in my mid 40s I feel healthier and more energetic than ever. Just start, it's never too late.
