“I don't usually have the time to write reviews but I have to give props to the excellent service I received from Gigi at Açaí Skin Studio.

I had been very reluctant to get a facial after my skin had reacted and face became swollen from my last (pre-pandemic) facial elsewhere. I also underwent a skin care procedure at my dermatologist‘s office that made my face look like I had chicken pox - which took 10+ days to clear.

Still being apprehensive of how my face would react to any treatment, I’d been keeping my eye on Açaí Skin Studio reviews, and finally decided to try it out. I am happy to report that I’ve had no reactions, and my skin hasn’t looked this great in quite some time!

I can’t impress enough about the ambiance, coziness and cleanliness of the studio, but also how knowledgeable, personal, professional, and inviting Gigi is.

So, my final comment is, if you’ve been putting off a facial, or skincare treatment for the same or similar reasons as mine, look no further and give Açai Skin Studio a try.

“I used to see Alexandra regularly when I lived in the East Bay, and even though I’m now based in San Francisco, I still make the trip across the Bay Bridge traffic to see her. Her studio is a calming, peaceful sanctuary, and Alexandra herself is one of the warmest, kindest people I’ve ever met.

One session years ago that really stayed with me was when she gifted me crystals after learning my uncle had passed away — such a thoughtful and unexpected gesture that shows how deeply she cares about her clients as people.

She gives truly incredible facials, and the massages that come with them are rejuvenating for the whole body and spirit. I’ve never had another esthetician pay such close attention to detail or be so in tune with what my skin actually needs. Her technique and level of care really set her apart. “I found Tessa Allen to be an excellent esthetician at Vetiver Salon in Oakland. I have thoroughly enjoyed multiple facials with her and left feeling invigorated each time. “I have been looking for a good threading place since moving to Oakland from San Francisco, and finally, I have found it! Rowena, was amazing. She took the time to actually look at the shape of my face to find what eyebrow shape she would give me, it was pain-free, And quick. Also, it was only $18, which is pretty cheap for eyebrow the rating in my opinion. Also, if you go Tuesday through Friday between 10 AM and 2 PM, there is the eyebrow and lip threading special for $25 total. Another thing I love about them is that they do the punchcard. So at your 11th eyebrow threading, you get it free. Great location and even open on Sundays 1030 to 4 PM. They definitely have a new customer in me.“
