“We hired M&L Construction for our house projects again because they are dependable and do great work. SF experienced lots of rain and strong gusty winds last winter and spring. This affected our house and we needed help to fix some things. I reached out to the company for assistance and got a response back quickly. Mark and Buddy came out to the house, shared their thoughts with us on the repairs and provided us a quote. They are knowledgeable in their field and I trust they can get the job done. We had a lattice replaced with a wall, a window replaced with a wall and fixed leaning fences. The workers are professionals and dedicated to delivering great results. “Mark and his crew did quality work on the restucco of our house, as well as building us a new "good neighbor" fence. They were thorough in both their work and communication. The only issue I had was that there ended up being a lot of change orders, which led to budget bloat. The changes were well explained and professionally completed, so ended up not being a big issue.“

“El and his crew are the best I have worked with. I have had numerous bad experiences with other contractors but anytime I have worked with El, I have been very pleased.The first project was almost a complete gut job of our first floor. We had structural walls removed, new posts installed down to the foundation, the ceiling raised 2 feet, all new electrical, all new plumbing, a new floor, new bathroom and a giant beam to hold up our second story. They also added a huge deck in the backyard and sliding glass doors off the backroom. The quality was top notch and the crew was respectful and always cleaned up after themselves.I asked El back to install an 8 foot fireplace into a new bump out that required super intricate tile work. The fireplace is a stunner and the manufacturer wants to feature a picture of it on their website. His tile guy (Ronaldo?) is unbelievable. Overall I have been very happy with SF Town Builders and El's expertise!“

“In the interests of full disclosure, I'm not a big fan of YELP, this is my first review, but if it helps someone to finally get the remodel they've been dreaming about, I'll be happly. My wife and I were just commenting that it has been a year since we started our kitchen and bath remodel. We had talked about it for years, but never quite got around to actually doing anything about. We "interviewed" several contractors before finally going with Ross. It was a great decision. Our remodel came in on time, on budget and we love it. If you are putting off a remodel because of the aggravation, hassle or if you are like me the intimidation of choosing from bath fixtures that cost more than my first car, this is the place to go.“

“The entire AGC team is incredible. My wife and I did a full gut remodel/rebuild on a 1912 house in San Francisco. We took the entire house down to the studs and then moved and replaced all the studs. To say we were terrified is a complete understatement. We talked to several GC's, and were referred to Aaron Gordon by our architect. He stood out from the start, and there was really no question who we'd go with after meeting with him and running through his process. He broke down and explained every aspect of the project, and priced out the entire thing in advance. And this wasn't a rough ballpark quote like you get from most GCs, it was down to every detail. We were always in the loop on every aspect of the project. We had bi-weekly onsite check ins, and they provided weekly summaries of work completed and what was on the schedule for the coming week. We were never in the dark.Most importantly, I am happy to say now that the project is over, there were no surprises, and they finished on time and on budget (slightly below actually). That's quite an accomplishment considering the scope of work involved. Their quality is top notch, and the entire team is 100% professional. Not to mention they are just genuinely really good people. They would repeatedly go above and beyond what's expected. Just as one example (to which there are many), right when we moved in we tried to start garbage service through Recology and have bins sent to our house. Unfortunately Recology was hacked and their systems were down for weeks. We had nowhere to put our garbage, so the AGC team swung by several weeks in a row to literally pick up our personal garbage, just as a courtesy until we finally got bins sent to us. I could rattle off countless examples, but I just wanted to highlight the level of service they provide. I was flat out impressed at how they conducted themselves both professionally and personally.This whole thing could have been so stressful, but the team ensured it never got to that point. I dare say it was even enjoyable. It was amazing to watch our home transform knowing it was in good hands. I have zero hesitation recommending them to anyone starting a new project. They are as good as it gets, and they will be our go to for all our future needs. So happy we were referred to AGC.“

“I was in touch with Vidal from Glam Roofing about potentially replacing our roof. He was attentive, always on time and very helpful answering all questions that we had. He came by a few times to show us materials and do multiple roof inspections. A nice person that made the scary process of a major construction job less intimidating.“

“I was referred to AJO Group by my neighbor who recommended them highly for our soft story retrofit. I’ve had different contractors over the years for various major projects. AJO is the best contracting group I have worked with, starting with Giuseppe the owner/engineer, to the responsive and efficient office manager, to the punctual and friendly work crew.Giuseppe always greets you with professionalism, yet is personable, and is very knowledgeable explaining procedures clearly and concisely. AJO is a one-stop shop taking care of permitting, inspections, and all aspects of the construction. Everything went smoothly and was stress free for me. They took care of everything. New carpeting and other upgrades to the unit affected was put in, and the office manager worked closely with me on the timing of ordering and installation.I was on site often and Giuseppe always communicated what had been completed, what was being worked on, and what was the next step.I had a significant sewer issue just before the retrofit started. AJO was able to take care of that for almost half the cost of the initial company I had contacted, a considerable savings to me, and they were still able to finish the retrofit in the estimated timeframe.AJO is a great team, does quality work, and good work ethics. “Edward is the plumber extraordinaire ! He's super responsible, honest, down to earth & very skillful at his craft . There were some challenging issues w repairing my old Jacuzzi. Other plumbers said the tub had to be lifted out of its base & fixed from underneath at a cost of almost $900! Edward was able to tie the tubing to a bamboo stick & pull it thru to connect it to the motor & it took only a couple minutes and saved me hundreds. He's easy to talk to , the best plumber I've ever had !!!“

They’ve completed several bathroom remodels in our historic San Francisco home, a kitchen reface, and other odds and ends. “Elmer and his team spruced up my vintage, quirky apartment with a variety of professional repairs: replacing a clawfoot tub drain & old light dimmer switch, painting and plastering, installing a new garbage disposal, and fixing heavy wooden pocket doors. They were timely and courteous about contacting us with ETAs. And he sent photos as the work progressed. Since we found more issues to repair (all were necessary & overdue), one day of work expanded into 3 so it was a bit more expensive than I planned.
